...I have a Fuji Finepix 2400 digital camera which uses smart media. The camera came with a 8MBcard which would only hold 30 photos on full resolution sso I decided to order an additional card. I purchased an original Fuji 32MB Smart media card by mail order from Insight. I still found that it was a little restrictive. If you go on holiday for two weeks to somewhere new it's nice to shoot away - especially when film and developing is not a consideration anymore. So I hunted around and found that my local PC dealer in Nottingham could supply me a non-branded 64MBcard for the same price as the 32MB branded Fuji version. It's made by Dane-elec and has a 10 year warranty! Half the price of Fuji and it works fine....

Great Camera Review ofFujifilm FinePix 2800 Zoomby
mttgffry
Advantages: excellant camera, x6 OPTICAL zoom, continuous shooting facility Disadvantages: hard to focus in dark
...This is my second fuji digi cam and far better than the first (an mx1200). Whereas the 1200 was just an easy way to record things I saw, the 2800 could well replace a standard SLR camera for most situations.
The first test run for the camera was the national firework championships in plymouth, and it performed far better than I had hoped. On this occasion the ability to take 4 shots in a row was invaluable.
The only downside I have found so far is that in low light conditions the camera has dificulty focusing at anything other than infinity.
Have invested in a 128MBcard to go with it (giving 166 pictures at maximum resolution) and a flash path adapter (to speed up image downloading), which make it a truly excellant peice of kit....

I have quite a good background in photographic techniques - starting out many years ago with 35mm... more

This is the latest digita camera I have and I must say this is a very good camera. The best feature of this camera is definitely the lens, which offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 27-486mm, which allows both wide angle shooting and also extreme... more

IMAGE QUALITY: It does have good points however. 7.2 Megapixels isn't bad for the price. The Optical Zoom is a slightly below-average 3x, with a respectable 4.8 Digital Zoom. Most features, however, are only standard - nothing unusual. This... more
After being stung for a camcorder which inevitably caused me an immense about of grief at home it was time to replace our dust gathering digital camera for a series of weddings, christenings and days out. Obviously the thought of spending more cash on a... more
I thought having reviewed some of the DSLR cameras I own or use it was about time I spoke a little about one of my favourite point and shoot digital cameras. There are so many digital cameras to choose from these days you would be forgiven for thinking... more
