Advantages: It has a small LCD to show how many pictures you have left, a two zone focus, a lowlight automatic flash, a wide picture format the lens extends from the body, when switched on and retracts when you turn it off Disadvantages: Unfortunately it doesn't have a timer, which would have been a useful addition, can only use Fujifilm Instax film packs!
For as long as I have known, I have always wanted an instant camera and I thought I would end up buying a Polaroid.
However, on a visit to the Argos catalogue shop I noticed another instant camera, the Instax 100 - made by Fujifilm. Despite Polaroid's dominance in this niché market, it looks like Fujifilm may have beaten them at their own game.
I bought the "Big Party" pack, which comprises of the camera, a black carry case, four "AA" (Pen width) batteries, a shoulder strap and two packs of 10 picture film.
The camera is large and seems too bulky at first, but you soon get used to it. The instructions are easy to follow and you will find you are ready in no time at all.
The features were the first things which drew me to this camera. It has a small LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) to show how many pictures you have left, a two ...
Advantages: The camera is brilliant, everything I wanted and didn't get with my vivitar camera Disadvantages: I wanted a red one :D That's it really. A few problems with the scene modes but nothing too bad

The LCD screen on this camera is huge, even bigger than my Fujifilm S8000, which is a much larger camera, they have compensated by removing quite a few buttons that you may usually expect to get on the back of the camera, however you will find this LCD screen is brilliant, it shows the pictures beautifully and very clear.

On the back of the camera, you have the usual circle buttons, which allow you to set the scene to macro, add flash, add a timer and then the delete button. In the centre OK button shows you the shooting menu, which allows you to get to the set up menu.
The only other buttons ...
Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient
The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered.
The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too.
The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed.
There are 14 preset scenes to choose from, each setting the camera to its optimum settings for the given scenario, but on top of this, the camera can be used ...
