Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100

This is a medium speed (ISO 100) film that delivers almost unrivalled grain and subsequently sharpness. Combining this camera with a semi-pro or pro SLR camera will give you almost unrivalled capabilities for all of your black and white needs. I recently used this film in the Himalayas and it easily deals with the extreme contrast of such tough environments and the 100 ISO is easily fast enough for the most atmospherics in these difficultly lit places. Many photographers like to use slightly faster film in snowy conditions because of overexposure with slower films, but this did not prove a problem with the Neopan Acros 100.

The film also handles the use of filters extremely well, giving excellent results with both Yellow, Red and Polarizing Filters.

Neopan Acros is also extremely good value for money, especially if bought off the internet.

One word of warning though to all users: either do your own prints or get a serious black and white professional to - the results you will get will be vastly superior and with a film of this quality you will want the results professionally blown up. The great grain quality means you can definately blow your results up without having to worry about loss of image quality. This is one of the films that reduces the need to go to Medium Format when large prints are required.
