Advantages: Fast recharge. Environmentaly friendly
Disadvantages: Not suitable for slow chargets

Why should you choose this particular type of battery for your digital camers.After all you can buy packs of batteries in lots of places. This battery can be recharged. At least 1000 times. Consider the saving that you will make. So all right you have to buy a charger as well, but you will still save yourself in the long run. Say an average pack of batteries costs £4.00. They will last for a few weeks or possibly months depending on use. Once discharged that is it. You have to buy again. But say you can get a charger and a set of batteries for £25.00. Over the life of these that is a saving of £3975.Just think what you can spend that on instead of buying disposable batteries... Read review

...Fujifilm Finepix S5700. This is a very fine digital camera at MY price! The moment I set eyes on this one, I was really very impressed. The features on this model are unbelievable. Just look at the specification to see what I mean. It is an easy camera to use. In Auto mode, simply great and for the experienced photographer the manual mode is excellent. I love this camera so much that I would buy two of them!! It handles well, all the important buttons are well sited, to me this is very important. I say that this is a good buy for someone wanting that bit more, or in this case, a lot more, to have the ownership of a Pro camera is a dream come true. Yes it is larger than a pocket digital camera and does not fit in your pocket easily. How many true photographers carry pocket sized Digital cameras? Well I used to do that... Read review

Advantages: Easy of use for automatic modes, price, quality of images.
Disadvantages: Small grip, awkward battery compartment, lack of RAW format compatability, average manual.

...good if you buy, as I did, 2500mAh Ni-MH rechargeable types, and the free Exif Launcher and FinePix Viewer software makes downloading and manipulating images on your PC extremely straightforward. Options for connecting the camera to a PC or television are excellent with a free USB cable included in the box and a digital video socket to hand. On the base of the camera is a standard tripod screw thread. External power comes by way of a 5v input socket for static tripod or PC use (power supply not included). Although the camera comes with 10MB of internal memory, I would recommend that a large capacity, High-Speed xD card is used (I recommend Olympus H-rated cards) - see the Fujifilm website however as not all xD cards are compatible (address at the bottom of the review).
