...A very versatile camera as it has been used in professional studio photography throught to wedding and portrait photography. This is a good work-house camera, providing quality imagery, even to this day! I purchased mine second hand from a studio photographer 1995, two years ago and it is still in good working order. In comparison to the more recent Digital Single Lens Reflex's this may seem slow, but is a good camera to learn with is well worth the low price tag. This does however take two lots of batteries - two lithiums and four AA although it will work without the AA's, the lithiums speeds up the autofocus function. It is advisable to use rechargable AA batteries in this and have plenty of spares as the battry gauge does seem to go all of a sudden. This camrea supports both compact flash cards and smart media. ...The FinePix 4700 has a silver design, which makes it look cool. It has a small upright frame. A self-opening lens is on the front, which hides the zoom lens. On the back is a circular window, housing the LCD display. The power for the camera is supplied by two AA batteries. A SmartMedia card is supplied to store images.
There are three program modes to choose from. Night mode allows you to use slow shutter speeds, and the landscape and portrait modes offerssome control over depth-of-field. You also get manual control of white balance and focusing distance.
