As many of you probably know I suddenly had to buy a couple of USB flash drives to save my pictures on due to my laptop 'playing up'. Not only that, there was also another reason why it was important for me to get this extra storage space so soon especially after my friend telling me how important it was to have them stored somewhere other than just my laptop This is because I have recently bought a new camera for our forthcoming trip to Florida early next year which I wanted to have a little early so that I could also take it on my upcoming work trip to Paris. With the new camera I needed to purchase a few bits to go with it including a gorgeous pink case and more importantly a new memory card and card reader. After researching which memory card would be suitable to match my camera I decided on this one - the Fuji 2GB XD TYPE M.What is it?
How big is it?
The card itself is pretty tiny - as mentioned it is very slim an about 2mm thick and less than 1 inch in size. I am always amazed that a little device so small can hold so much but, there you go!
How much does it hold?
Well my new camera is 12MP so a lot higher than my old one at 5MP! However according the back of the packet it came in I should be able to store just over 600 pictures on it. I haven't as of yet managed to test the theory although I'm sure I will when I get to Florida! The lower the pixel on the camera the more it will hold - for example pictures taken at 9MP should mean the card can hold over 900 photos.
I am not really sure if t because of the brand but the memory card is doing well - I am constantly taking pictures with my new camera to test it and then uploading them to my pc so I am quite frequently taking it in and out of the camera and then in and out of the card reader and it is performing well which really it should do anyway being this new! However pictures have no problem being stored and it hasn't managed to not store any so in my opinion it is a decent memory card that works well for me!
