Her date is an escort

Advantages: comical elements
Disadvantages: nothing extraordinary

While there is nothing impressive or extraordinarily romantic in The Wedding Date, it is a movie which I would recommend for some light entertainment and just the right dash of romance. Starring Debra Mesisng and Dermot Mulroney, the plot is about a single woman who is invited to her parent's home for the wedding of her little sister. However, catastrophe arises when Kat (Mesisng) realizes that her ex fiancé would be attending the wedding too. Not wanting to lose face in front of him, Kat does the one thing possible: She hires Nick (Dermot Mulroney), a male escort to accompany her to the wedding and pose as her boyfriend. The thing is, Nick is even more attractive than she anticipated... Del's blind faith in a blind date

Advantages: brilliant humour, cracking plot and full of hilarious scenes
Disadvantages: none for me

Producer: Gareth Gwenlan. Director: Tony Dow Writer: John Sullivan Stars: David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Buster Merryfield and Tessa Peake-Jones. This episode is the 7th Christmas special, although only the fourth feature length episode, and the final special before series 6. This was first aired on the BBC on Christmas day 1988, and released onto DVD in 2002, being 80 minutes long. ** BRIEF PLOT?
