Massive capacity has been achieved through the enhancement of the head, the media and the record processing technology allowing up to 60GB per disk, maximum 120GB per drive (2 disks) high capacity. The enhancement of spindle motor driving technology and the power reduction of controller circuit enable to minimize by 1.6 watt at read operation. It is about 0.4 watt or less power consumption compare with the 4,200rpm drives. The enhancement of spindle motor driving technology and the stiffness of mechanism have achieved to reduce the acoustic noise of 2.3 Bels at idle operation. The enhancement of head holding structure to read and write the data of the media enable in high shock tolerance. The drives withstand up to 300Go-p (duration 2ms) operating shock.
Environmental parameters
Min Operating Temperature: 5 °C
Max Operating Temperature: 55 °C
Humidity Range Operating: 8 - 90%
Shock Tolerance: 300 g @ 2ms (operating) / 900 g @ 1ms (non-operating)
Vibration Tolerance: 1 g @ 5-500 Hz (operating) / 5 g @ 5-500 Hz (non-operating)
Advantages: looks fantastic Disadvantages: no problems so far
...Fujitsu Siemens hasn't placed a huge emphasis on style for the Scenic range. Fortunately, this isn't a big issue even now, as style usually comes fairly low on the agenda for business buyers: features, support and service should be the deciding factors, along with price and performance.
The Scenic E600 has plenty of the latter, with number crunching carried out by the Hyper-Threading 2.8GHz Pentium 4, while 512MB of PC3200 memory is supplied for handling large files. Intel's Extreme Graphics 2 shares 64MB of that half-gigabyte and offers an analog D-SUB output for connecting a monitor. A 40GB Samsung hard disk should provide enough storage, but it's outshone by Dell's 120GB disk.
Gigabit Ethernet is a bonus if your office network will take advantage, and it's backwards compatible with 10/100 networks in the meantime, while legacy...

...Most people looking for a laptop will have an idea that the speed of a machine in MHz or GHz will have a direct impact on performance. True, but if you take this to the extreme like a lot of people and base your buying choice on ourely speed, you may fall into the V7010s trap.
The Celeron D CPU in this laptop runs at a smooth 2.53GHz, which will certainly appeal to a lot of people on paper. But be in for a surprise when you power the machine on for the first time....
To me the Fujitsu felt slower than my Compaq Armada M700 running at 1GHz with only 128MB of RAM, although both of them ran XP Home Edition.
The speed is only the first shortcoming of the V7010, as you will find out shortly.
Everything looks bright and rosy on paper - 40GB 'Fast' IDE Hard Disk, ATI IGP 9000 Graphics, Celeron D 2.53GHz CPU... but when you try and use...

This is a good example of a mid-range, mid-price lap top that will do what you need it to do, without over-spec-ing for the ordinary user, and costing more than you need to pay.

I honestly cant pick any faults with this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you’ve got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on.
