Fujitsu SPARC64 V 1.35 GHz processor board

...I really love this laptop, previously siemens haven't really made good computers or laptops but they are now starting to come out with really good products from their Fujitsu ranges. This is a amilo pro V3515, its looks stylish and is quite compact too. It features Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 GHz processor which runs the 1gb of installed ram like a dream. Also if you use demanding programs and need more ram then this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2gb. This however if quite dear to do and could cost around £50. This laptop has a great 120 GB hard drive to store all your data on, also it runs at 5400 rpm which is rather quick. A criticism to fujitsu would be that this laptop doesn't have a card reader built into it, this is something a lot of people need so i was disappointed to see it didn't contain one. ...Well, in my opinion it is really great computer. First of all I would like point up the size and the lifespan of this laptop. It's quite small and has quite powerful battery. It's very important for laptops. 4 hours of lifespan, in my opinion is enough for using computer without thinking about power lack. Secondly, it's powerful computer. That shows "Core Duo" technology in it. That means your computer will be more quickly than computer with common processor! Moreover, hard disk drive is quite spacious. Of course, it is not fitted for games. Finally, I recommend this computer and for home using and for business. Of course, it has not the newest technologies. However, Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3405 Edition would be the great decision if you have not any special needs.... Read review

Advantages: Initially appeared to be what I paid for.
Disadvantages: Subsequently turned out to be a "Friday" machine!

...Initially very pleased with performance and versatility, but disappointingly the CMOS battery went on the blink about 2 weeks before warranty expired! Luckily I got it back to The Tech Guys - sent it on a Monday am via courier and it was back with me on the Wednesday am - replaced main board - so full marks to the Tech Guys, but not so many for Fujitsu 'cos it looks as if the hard disk is now failing and the warranty has just expired! Norton said a problem - "run a full scan" - that couldn't complete, so ran Chdsk and this stalled at 25% on stage 4. Various phone calls and lots of chat to technicians have convinced me to replace the hard disk - Oh! and another black mark - no recovery disk came with the machine, so more trouble and expense in re-installing XP Pro and all data.
