...Utter crap, this is the only way to describe this cheap piece of garbage.
It has problems, serious issues. Here's a couple of them:
- the screen came with 2 dead pixels, but that's the smallest problem; the display has serious light uniformity issues, on black backgrounds you can easily notice that the lower part is much brighter (TFT light bleeding is one thing, this is just wrong)
- it gets hot, really hot and after sending it two times in service all they did was clean the heat sink, which didn't solve anything (many people complain about this issue for many other Fujitsu notebooks)
- no scroll, I still cannot understand how on Earth, in 2008 Fujitsu sells a notebook without scroll capabilities; also there's no way to disable the touchpad when you connect an external mouse
- the sound quality is unbelievably bad, my in-ear Sony...

Advantages: price Disadvantages: doesn't work at all
...I bought this laptop as a home machine and upgraded the memory for games use. The laptop has progressively got worse, although it didn't start that great. Depsite a few professionals trying to fix the problems, the laptop crashes within 10 minutes of every use and is therefore unusable. I have followed many other similar cases on the web, and in each case a few hundred pounds has been spent with no resolution to the problems. The overheating in very short time does seem to be the most common issue. Also makes it impossible to use on the lap. What is the point of buying a machine that doesn't work? I would never buy a Fujitsu Siemens product again. I have had good service from Toshiba and HP in the past and would buy from a proper manufacturer again in the future. As well as the latest audio drivers not being supported, the audio from...

Advantages: Great performer when there are no issues. Disadvantages: When there are screen or heating issues, Fujitsu wipe their hands clean of it
...The performance from this laptop is quite remarkable. Vista has also been installed and ran acceptably. Being an AMD procssor, these laptops double up as useful hand warmers on those cold days. Although the performance of these laptops are good, I have had doubts with the screen quality and the warranty system. The Hinges on these laptops are quite stiff and can actually lock when opening or closing the lid. The screen itself within the plastic surround has no horizontal reinforcement strips as seen on 99% of other screens. Fujitsu will not warranty this flaw in the design as I have found out. My solution was to purchase a new OEM screen which has the reinforcement strips and to regularly oul the hinges. When these laptops overheat (and trust me it will), the processor will cook and even though its under warranty, Fujitsu...
