I bought this laptop a little less than a year ago from Comet for the princely sum of £699. I had shopped around for a long time and after visiting lots of websites and comparing what spec you could get for what price I felt this laptop was the best value. Also, i need to take it into Uni so it was important that it wasn't too heavy and it was also one of the slimmest and lightest laptops in its price range. Its also a pretty snazzy and stylish looking laptop that gets lots of compliments.
The keyboard is very good to type on unlike other laptops I have had or used and I can honestly say that I find it as easy to type on as a normal desktop keyboard. One thing I found annoying was the touchpad-because of the way I type my hand kept brushing off the touchpad and I would then look up at the screen and realise I had inadvertently moved the cursor and was typing on a totally different part of the page!! This however is fixable by either disabling the touchpad and then connecting a usb mouse or just being more careful when you type.
The disadvantages I have found with this computer is that there is no ps2 connection so if you buy a mouse or external keyboard make sure it has a usb connecter. Also, the manufactures claim up to a 2 hour battery life, this might be the case if you just turn on the computer and then dont do anything on it but if youre just using things like MSWord you can expect about an hours battery and if youre listening to mp3s or anything like that the best that can be expected is about half an hour!! The ac adaptor supplied however is quite light and compact so as long as you have access to a socket its not too much of a problem!
My favourite thing about this computer is the memory card reader on the front-basically if your phone or digital camera has an mmc or sd memory card you can just take it out and pop it straight into the front of the computer without having to mess around with cables etc-ive found this feature great for transferring photos from my phone to computer and for putting mp3s onto my phone.
One last thing-this computer is not the best for certain computer games-EG I bought the Sims 2 to play on it and it runs a bit slow but then this isnt really a laptop designed for game play and so I cant really fault it for that.
Advantages: Large screen, lightweight, look cool. Disadvantages: Fingerpad too sensitive, battery performance

** The positive points of this laptop **
The look of this laptop is great, and it's very light for its size.
It has wireless capability, which can be enabled/disabled via a handy slider on the front of the machine.
Nice screen size, great for watching DVDs whilst away ... ...Ethernet port, 2 USB ports, Firewire port and TVOut are useful, as is the onboard sound and mic.
** And the negative **
I find the battery life a little diappointing for web surfing, it can only last 1.5hrs at times.
The 512mb RAM is shared with graphics on my machine which can be annoying at times, am unsure if this can be upgraded.
The disc drive is annoyingly placed at the side so when you pick up the machine you accidentally press the eject ...

my husband bought me my siemens amilo for xmas and its great big screen very stylish in black and silver came with a great bag to carry it in norton antivirus windows xp stylish keyboard lights up in blue i love it great as we had no space to store our desktop due to kids toys etc cost wise quite pricey £1700 but worth it compared to others on the market it has a dvd rewriter one disk drive only but what i love and i know it sounds girly is the great ... ...without going into to much spec as you can get that from any website i feel thagt this laptop is great for home use wouldn't like to carry it round too much but thats what price you pay for the great screen i suppose one of the best i have used ...
