I bought this laptop June 9th 2007 and it is excellent! I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a good quality laptop with a crystal clear picture.
I am very impressed with the display and the vista is just the cherry on top! It comes with a great 120GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM as standard. I would reccomend to everyone to upgrade the 1GB of RAM as when i bought my laptop from Staples it came with 3 months Norton Antivirus free which does slow the laptop right down. Other than that it is great! It has 4 USB ports which come in very handy aswell as a button to activate silent mode so that it runs slower but quieter as the fan can get quite noisy at times.
I must admit that it isnt the most stylish laptop i have seen, as it has a bit of silver and black here and there. i dont think a tremendous amount of thought went into its physical appearence but it is still ok.
The only bad experience i had is with the sound as it went all distorted but i delted the installed sound software ad downloaded athe basic versoin from the website which works fine now. I have Vista home premium in mine which did affect the wireless to begin with but after while it just seemed to fi itself. It never disconnected but the signal strenght did go very low at points but has never ever disconnected on me. It can also get very hot so when it is on your knee etc then i would check to make sure that you are not blocking the vent for the fan, never leave it on your bed etc as this will block the vent and could cause it to overheat. And always use virus protection, norton is my personal favourite.
Overall a fantastic laptop! I have several Fujitsu Siemens computers and they all excel themselves, one i have had for about 5 years and is going strong unlike a couple of the Dells that i have.
A good price for a good make laptop! £400 at Staples!
