Had the PC a couple of days and so far so good. My main criteria was to get an ultra-portable so at £600-800 this represents great value for a 1.7kg machine.
That having been said it probably is not as robust as an equivalent Vaio or Thinkpad but these are often twice the price. Overall the machine is pretty well put together and looks very elegant. The keyboard could be a little firmer in its action however its not bad.
The other real benefits are the WXGA screen (1200 pixels wide) which is an essential for my type of work and the inclusion of Windows XP Professional is great for business users.
The system also comes with lots of connection options (4 USB2, Firewire, Network, modem, etc). Most of these are on the side. The external monitor connector is DVI, however my box had a converter so you use it on your existing monitor cable.
Wireless connectivity works fine but not tried the Blue Tooth yet or burnt any discs on the DVD (Nero 6 is included). I can confirm battery life is around 3 hours or so.
The RAM and memory are reasonable for the price but 1GB Ram would have been a nice touch. The memory stick reader is also very handy which makes it a breeze to backup the hard drive and get photos of the digital camera.
Installation was a pain - I seemed to have to install all the drivers individually (the monitor originally indicated it only XGA - this changed to WXGA after I re-installed the displey driver).
The hard disk does get a bit warm and that make the casing under your right wrist a bit warm.
Overall a pretty good all-round ultra-portable for the money.
