Fujitsu runs under the siemens brand name. it's a brand that has been around for ages, mainly making TV, DVD players and other electrical goods. Now you've probably all heard about siemens but not really about fujitsu and that's what could put some people off getting there laptops by thinking there a new brand and therefore not reliable. However, recently they have been making more laptops, all of which I think are very good, and its only just now that people are starting to respect them as a good laptop manufacturer too, and are now up to the likes of Acer and sony in the laptop business, however there still nowhere near as well recognised as dell are.
This Fujitsu Siemens is an AMILO Pro V3515 Edition. There are many editions of amilos out now so its best having a good look at them all to see which one you'll want. This specific laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern.
It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed. Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about.
This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days. It has 80 gb which is quite a lot, but most manufacturers are not making laptops now with less than 80 gb of hard drive and nearly all laptops made now have a bigger hard drive than 80 gb.
The screen on this amilo is 15.4 inches, this is about the average if you want a quite portable laptop, however a lot of amilos screens are 17 inch, so if you want something better for watching movies on then you should look for one of them. These amilos all feature active matrix technology, which means the screens are a lot sharper, crisper and a lot brighter than before. This makes looking at pictures, watching movies and playing games so much more real than before, and it's a great step forward in technology of screens.
The amilos battery life is 2.5 hours, this is pretty good though I have seen a lot better in other laptops.
All together this is a good laptop, you'll probably be surprised about how fast it is for only 1gb of ram, its very portable too and only weighs 2.9 kg. These fujitsu amilos are a great brand and there defiantly here to stay and might even dominate dell one day.

Advantages: Reasonably good spec for the price, but not amazing. Quite good looking Disadvantages: Some small faults and one major fault with freezing/locking up.
