Review of Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li2727 laptop. For the purpose of this review I will refer to the laptop as the Amilo. I purchased this laptop in May 2008 to replace my previous laptop, a Dell Inspiron which I unfortunately 'killed' with a super powerful, metal detecting magnet...a long story and not one I intend to go into here! My previous laptop died on me during the Christmas period. I actually thought that it was the perfect time since the January sales were coming, and according to the news the sales were to be massive. Needless to say there were very few laptops in my price range on sale, so after hunting far and wide I came upon the LI 2727. ~The Product~ A quick overview of the laptop itself. This is a review on the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 laptop. There are a lot of good things, great things even about this laptop though I must admit there are things when using it, you just feel could have been improved or upgraded to make the laptop better and less annoying in a way. The most annoying thing I must mention when I was using this laptop was the fan noise. I recently went on a search for a good quality Laptop and found this one in Comet. It looked quite good and seemed to have everything I wanrted. Processor is a Intel dual core !.73 Ghz It boasts a good 2GB of DDR2 Ram 160 GB Hard drive 15.4 in Screen DVD+/- RW drive My opinion. I came home with my Laptop and unpacked it all, went through the associated paperwork and set it up, as I already have a Desktop this was easy. I have had this laptop for a good while, I bought it from Tesco for about £300, this is the first laptop I've ever bought and I must say that she's a reliable piece of kit all round. The size and weight is managable, the screen and sound quality is clear and the trackpad and keys are smooth and easy to use. It comes with 4 USB sockets, the memory and processing speeds are sufficient for my needs (being able to run multiple windows at once, and storing some music, pictures, videos, and documents for college - I must have at least 20GB stored files and the performance has suffered), however I ... more
