This is a review on the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 laptop. There are a lot of good things, great things even about this laptop though I must admit there are things when using it, you just feel could have been improved or upgraded to make the laptop better and less annoying in a way.
The most annoying thing I must mention when I was using this laptop was the fan noise. The noise its self isn’t really loud, however it seems to come on at random moments when your using the laptop, and it doesn’t even seem to be when running demanding programs, so this is something that really annoyed me about this laptop.
This really is a good home laptops though, that is what its been designed for and it what it should be used for. There are quite a few problems if you were wanting to use this as a portable laptop to take on journeys and so on with you. The main huge glitch to this laptop is its very poor battery life. It really is lucky to last an hour which is pretty appalling and would defiantly put me off buying a laptop straight away. Its weight at 2.7 kg however isn’t so bad, and as long as you only need to use it at a place it can be plugged in, then transporting it shouldn’t be a big problem.
An upside to this laptop is that it really is quite quick. It has a massive 2gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its Intel Pentium Dual Core processor which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast.
The laptop doesn’t disappoint with its hard drive space either, and with a hard drive of 120 gb, its more than enough for most people to store all there data on.
Another great thing about this laptop is its fantastic multi drive dvd. This means you can watch movies and burn movies too using the laptops Dual Double Layer DVD drive. Because it’s a Dual Double Layer DVD drive this means you can actually pack a standard blank dvd disk with up to 8.5 GB of data, photos, music or video, which is almost double the standard 4.7 gb you can do with normal dvd drives.
Its 15.4 inch screen is of great quality and is good for watching movies and playing games on. The screen has crystal bite technology built into it, this makes everything sharper and brighter, so making movies better quality, and just every image on the screen brighter and crisper.
The design of this isn’t anything too snazzy. Some people will hate it, and some will think its ok. Im one of those who think its ok however they really could have made it look a lot better than it does. I don’t think they’ll be anyone who looks at this laptops design and thinks wow, I must own this, because it really isn’t that great.
However that being said, it isn’t that kind of laptop, it’s a laptop that’s meant to sit on a desktop at home, and last a few years running at a good speed and it will do this. Also its very cheap and you’ll be able to get one of these for about £350, which is the cheapest iv seen it. And £350 for a 2gb of ram and a 120gb of hard drive laptop is an absolutely amazing price for a laptop.
