Fujitsu siemens have always been a bit of an underdog in the laptop market, there laptops are thought to be not as good quality of some other leading brands, and people tend to think that there cheap prices reflect the quality. This just isn’t the case at all.

Although they do make some really cheap basic laptops, they are now starting to branch out into the more professional laptop market, making portable and fast business laptops as well.

The laptop is a combination of three main colours which makes it look a lot more modern than some of its predecessors and gives it a cool edge over its rivals.
A business mans laptop that looks cool instead of boring seemed to be something acers travel mates just weren’t designed to be and I don’t think acer could ever figure out how to get this balance, fujitsu however have, and it really shows.

The plastic section around the screen is black, and is also strong and sturdy, the body of the laptop is silver with a nice grey keypad that stands out from the laptop and the bottom of the laptop and sides of the laptop are also black, it really is a stunning looking laptop.

One thing that lets this laptop down a bit is its ram size, its only 1gb, however it can be upgraded to a massive 4gb if you want and you can even buy this model in various ram sizes to start with.
Despite it only having a gig, its still very quick, however I’m sure it would slow down pretty quick when all software is loaded and begins to take it toll on the laptop.

Taking into account all its high spec features, you would expect it to have about 160 gb of hard drive, or at least 120. But this laptop however only has 80 gb of storage space built in. I don’t know whether to class this as a downside as I know everyone wants the most they can get, but honestly do you really need more than 80 gb of hard drive? Well I certainly know I don’t and I guess most people don’t either, so this 80 gb should really be enough and not a downside to the laptop at all.

As it’s a portable laptop, it does have a smaller screen than most, its 14.1 inch screen is noticeably smaller if your used to a larger one, or a desktop screen however isn’t too small that it limits anything you would usually need to do on a computer.

Its very light weight as well, only 2.1 kg in fact. However that isn’t the best thing amount it, its battery life is an amazing 7 hours, which is certainly the most in a laptop iv ever tested before and I’m not sure there’s a longer lasting laptop out there or not. This truly does have the capability to be used on the go, and pretty much all day if need be.
The reason why it can last this long its due to its 8-cell Lithium Ion batteries, as most laptops only have 6-cell Lithium Ion batteries instead of 8 like this one does.

The price of one of these starts from around £800 for the most basic version, and then goes up to around £1600 for the best. If you really need a good portable laptop then one of these is worth the price slapped on it, however if you don’t, then you’ll be better going with one of the cheaper models out there.
