Manufacturer's product description
The question of what features a high-capacity removable drive must have is a serious one. The new Fujitsu's MO disks answers - high capacity, strong performance and reliable data storage. As the capacity of a single removable disk grows, so do users' concerns about the reliability of the data stored on the disk. Using proven magneto-optical (MO) technology, Fujitsu designs its disks to meet the ideals of a removable disk drive by offering superior reliability and unmatched data protection. Fujitsu's new MCD3130AP drive has achieved the highest capacity of any 3.5-inch magneto-optical drive by using new Magnetically induced Super Resolution (MSR) technology. MSR technology allows the drive to read and write any GIGAMO standard 1.3GB disk at twice the liner bit density. The MCD3130AP drive also delivers a faster data transfer rate of up to 5.9MB/sec., and provides 28 millisecond seek time. The MCD3130AP drive also retains full read/write compatibility with ISO/IEC 3.5- inch disks ranging from original 128MB to current 640MB.

Advantages: Good value, high spec Disadvantages: Two faults, both fixed reasonably
...I bought my T Bird in November 1999 from Sainbury's and since then it has worked very well apart from two faults. The hard disk failed within a month (due to a bad batch apparently) and also within the warranty period the DVD drive stopped reading DVDs (but continued to work with CDs) On both occasions the service was completed reasonably and as these two products were not specifically Fujitsu I put them both down to 'another company'
I would certainly buy from Fujitsu again and notice that the same model (but with faster processor and larger HD) is being sold through newspaper adverts by a company called Under a Grand. Have a look at:

Advantages: Nice to look at, Easy to set-up and reliable Disadvantages: some components installed are only standard
..., which allows the PC to run smoother when using the larger programs and games. Again, there is room inside the machine for added memory.
Hard-drive
The hard drive installed is a standard Fujitsu 5200 rpm 80gb hard drive. This will be adequate for most games, programs and other media however it may not be so smooth when running the larger games. There is also room for an extra hard drive.
Graphics and Sound card
The graphics card is a standard 128mb graphics card. The computer is pre-installed with an up to date Intel Graphics Controller.
Sound card is also a standard integrated sound card with support for dolby surround sound.
Both cards are easily accssible in case of future upgrading.
Optical Storage
The Scaleo P comes with a standard DVD rewritable drive with space just below for another drive.
Monitor
The monitor is a 17...

I honestly cant pick any faults with this laptop at all, well except from the extremely high price tag, but if you’ve got the money to spend then what a machine to spend it on.
