...I've had the Hitach P50XR01U for a little over 2 weeks now and not being an expert, find the picture quality to my liking with plenty of adjustment to play with. The audio is not quite to my liking, being their latest 50" plasma TV I would have expected the quality of the audio to be much better. The main reason I bought this TV was because of the vast number of input/outputs on board. I've operated a karaoke business for 20 years now and often have karaoke parties at my house. I was horrified when I connected my JVC karaoke player and my KAM1920 radio mic set to the TV, using the inbuilt TV amplifier and internal speakers, there is a definate delay in the audio from the microphones being delivered at the TV speakers making it un-useable, I tried all the other inputs but just the same. Well Myrica is a model of TV made by Fujitsu Siemens - who are better known for computers and IT infrastructure.
I used to be firmly of the opinion that most TV's are the same. I guess that was before I got a flat screen monitor for my PC. Since LCD screens have become cheaper to buy and have a much better longevity than they used to, they have taken off as PC monitors and in the last couple of years as main TV's too. Now I'm of the opinion that LCD & Plasma TV's have a far superior picture than the old-style CRT TV's and monitors that well all used to have.
In the debate as to whether you should buy LCD or Plasma then I, frankly, have no answers. I have friends that own one or the other, neither seems to have a better picture than the other and at the end of the day that's what we really...
