This Fujitsu computer was not that well know to us when we went looking for 2 computers. We had at the time tried to price up the components for a build and when we added the cost of Windows Xp x 2 it was a lot more, £300 more at the time, so we had to buy.
The budget at the time was £1000 for 2 good computers with monitors,speakers,keybboard and mouse. Warranty would just be the normal 1 year unless we could get that included too.
We had a look about and on the net but could not get the systems we were looking for. And with me fixing and being aware of the computer industry to a point we didn't want to go for a pc world own brand computer.
We then got a call from someone we new in Comet who told us about these Brand new Fujitsu Scaleo 600 systems theat had to go because of a shop re-fit. They were at rock bottom prices and within our budget.
We purchased 2 FS P4 computers with 80 GB drives 2.53 CPU's and ATI graphic cards for £998 all in but without any other warranty.
That was in 2003. I am now using this same FS P4 computer to write this reveiw.
The scaleo in that time has been brilliant and proved 100% reliable. The back-up disks you get with FS computers (Still to this day) are the only company as far I know who still give the Windows XP disk and a driver disk......None of this partition stuff on the hard drive. which is good and when you think about it if you have windows on the hard drive as a partition and the drive goes(even when new and it does happen) you are in a world of hurt.
Fujitsu computers for us have been brilliant and as has been said already, when the warranty is up, you can upgrade them easy with plenty of room and they use good quality components.
This P4 still has the 2.53 Cpu but I have installed ATi 256 Meg Graphics, Creative 7.1 sound, 2x 160GB hard drives and 1GB momory. Only thing I did enhance was the cooling. And there was 3 80mm cut out already there......
I would recommend Fujitsu computers and if you can get a P4 scaleo model buy it. A lot of friends have now purchased Fujitsu computers on my recomendation and to date no problems.
All in all the scaleo and Fujitsu are brillant packages.

Great review, your comp' sounds a whole lot better than mine, but it does the job Ok !... a rare thing indeed to get the windows disc and drivers (P.C world never heard of these things!!) .... Terry.
