If you already have this computer you should definitely look into cooling it down abit!

All these fans will definetly improve the life of this PC but unfortually makes it abit noisy, (unless you buy more expensive, quieter fans)

If you already have this computer you should definitely look into cooling it down abit! In the front section there is a slot for a 80mm fan which can blow air over your harddrive - do this, also attatch another 80mm fan to the rear grill to extract the hot air. There is a useful program called Speedfan that monitors the temperatures of the different sections of the case, basically if there is a fire symbol it's bad! This program will also tell you about your harddrive's condition which is very useful.
Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Looks Great Disadvantages: Noisy - Possible fault
I purchased this PC just over a year ago and it has been fantastic. In my experience (and use of computers) i normally require a rebuild once every 3-4 months as everything normally locks up. This pc has ran smoothly for over 12 months and only recently required a rebuild. I have very little to fault with this PC. The dvd writing faclity is great, 256 graphics card does the job, no problems with the soundcard...
I've lost about 4GB of the 250 hard ... ...a noisy fan (which i am aiming to get fixed under warranty in the new year).
As this was purchased through a company employee scheme a number of my colleagues also have this pc and have very positive experiences also. I would definately recommend this PC to anyone looking for a similar specification. ...

Advantages: ease of use, all round good starter system, Disadvantages: sometimes can be a bit slow if multitasking, front lights fail over time.
i've owned this computer for 3 years, when i bought it, it was high spec, it was to date the best computer i had used and still is too this day, which came with a huge (for the time) 250gb hard drive, 1 cdrw drive and 1 dvdrw drive plus a 5 - in 1 card reader, also it has 2usb ports at the front of the machine and an ieee 1394 input, also has inputs at the front for headphones and a microphone to go with the standard imports on the back, the soundcard ... ...to play my guitar directly through the computer, my only complaint was that there wasnt an audio in port at the front as well - it has plenty of software that comes as standard for a new user and overall is a great bargain, i beleive it sells for roughly £200 on ebay now. For a starter computer it is excellent, the fan can be a bit noisey at night but compared to my old win 98 system is really quiet, it is also a p4 3.6ghz which i beleive even 3 ...

Advantages: Great speed - tons of memory! Disadvantages: None that I have found so far!
a digital camera or memory stick for example.
Round the back... there are more USB 2.0 ports, four in fact - very useful for people like me who can't plug enough peripherals in! Also 2 PS/2 ports for the mouse and keyboard, ethernet, firewire and audio connections.
OK, now the machine itself... Fujitsu Siemens seems to have gone for the works when designing this CPU! It comes with:
- the latest Intel Pentium 4 HT processor at 3.0GHz
- 800MHz sidebus
- 1Mb cache
- 512Mb DDR RAM
- 160GB storage - surely that's more than enough for anyone!
- 128Mb ATIradeon X300 graphics
- 16-bit soundcard
- 56k modem
- Windows XP Home AND Microsoft Works 7.0
Obviously, this isn't top-of-the-range as standards keep changing, but for the regular home user, the specification is excellent!
I bought this myself about 2 weeks ago for the excellent price ...
Advantages: Reliable, Smart looking, Expandable, Comfortable. Disadvantages: Runs Slightly hot, Graphics could use a little Ooomph....
Specs of my model :-
P4 3.2Ghz (with HT) / 800Mhz Bus

250Gb Hard Drive

The Scaleo arrived well packaged, there was little chance of it being damaged in transport. After I had unpacked I glanced through the quick-start guide. Everything was clear and easy to understand. The PC was together and running in less than 15 mins, No problems.
The Base unit of the ScaleoT is smart affair for a standard case, the 'bloo' lights are a nice touch, BUT the case although a familiar size from the front is longer from front to back than most standard cases as a result it protrudes slightly from my desk, but i can live with that.
The Unit comes complete with DVD, and DVD +/- RW, these work well ...
