The SCENIC 600 series are professional business PC aimed at customers who want to minimize their overall IT costs but need higher levels of performance than a standard PC can offer. These Business PCs featuring every imaginable refinement help drastically to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). SCENIC 600 series offer the latest technologies, a high level of component consistency and expandable models to assure long product life cycles, thus guaranteeing system continuity. All SCENIC 600 systems are characterized by a highly innovative design. Features such as the lock and sliding drive cover, and the light-basic color tones typical of Siemens PC cabinets, combined with dedicated design elements in green, are particularly attractive. Siemens assigns great care to the selection and qualification of suppliers, and huge importance is attached to compliance with international standards and to exhaustive function tests both on components and on the overall system. With the SCENIC 600, Siemens offers a clearly structured, customer-oriented logistics concept, ranging from a view preconfigured PCs ready to ship at short notice, through comprehensive configuration options, to tailored solutions built by the Siemens Customizing Center.
Advantages: Very small footprint / Ideal for limited space Disadvantages: Only 3 PCI Slots and 1 Eisa (Shared)
...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several FujitsuScenic PC's.
These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each)
Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment.
The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse.
The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money...

Scenic Pro M6 Review ofFujitsu SiemensSCENIC xSi - PIII600MHzby

Advantages: Disadvantages:
...Bought the machine a few years back, when it was changing design. It is a Pentium Pro 233, with 128Mb Ram, and "a few" hard disks. The machine has performed well, and the chassis is VERY robust when the panels are on, but a bit flimsy when the inspection covers are removed. Also, when you are changing boards, the slots are on the bottom, upside down, which may be OK for a desktop unit, but is a nightmare for a tower.
The machine continues to perform well, I cold swap windows 98, SCO UNIX, and Linux from exchangeables, and all manage to work with all the Siemens supplied hardware....

...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative.
The Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120 was the first such device we trialed here at the Trust and it was certainly a fantastic baptism for both ourselves and the hardware. Vigorously tested and scrutinised by disgruntled employee's, under duress, it was quickly seen as a fantastic breakthrough in technological architecture and benefited users in almost every aspect of their working lives. It is the lightest of the Tablet PCs and gets the best battery life...
