SCENIC PC models are based on Siemens' accumulated PC experience. Great care is applied to the selection and qualification of suppliers, and great importance is attached to compliance with international standards and function tests on components and the overall system. SCENIC computers combine good look with brainpower, deliver maximum performance with minimum risk of problems, are equally happy working in a network environment or as a standalone system, and do not get old merely because they have been around for some time. The true worth of a SCENIC series lies in its superior security functions, their exceptional communication capabilities, their ease of use, and the simplicity with which they can be integrated into network administration schemes.

...Whilst recently updating Workstations on my LAN we recently have purchased several FujitsuScenic PC's.
These machines have proven very reliable and efficient for the money that we have spent upon the units (£420.00 + VAT each)
Considering that these machines are running PIII550 processors with 64Mb memory and a 10Gb hardrive as standard they can handle most basic office aapplications required in a general office enviroment.
The unit comes with Windows 98SE pre-installed as standard, soundcard, keyboard and mouse.
The only disadvantage that we have discovered with these machines is that they only have 3 x PCI slots and 1 x EISA slot making expandability a little probelamatic for certain hardware requirements, but overall for general value for money and reliability I would recommend this machine as excellent value for money...

...For those looking for an informed opinion, let me just give you a little of my background experience with the Scenic. I run a network which has 500 Scenic workstations. The network is spread over three sites and these workstations have rarely been switched off in four years.
Good Points:
The Scenic is robust and hard working. In the four years using the Scenic only 5 have failed. The simple and straight forward architecture makes repair and upgrade quick and easy
Bad Points:
The Scenic is slow. We have the Pentium II 400 and Pentium III 500 versions and all have problems with caching times. This has largely been put down to the low Wattage power supply. Also there have been a high number of functionality problems with the Matrox Graphic Adapters.
Overall the Scenic is a relyable computer. If you are looking for a no frills...

...Bought the machine a few years back, when it was changing design. It is a Pentium Pro 233, with 128Mb Ram, and "a few" hard disks. The machine has performed well, and the chassis is VERY robust when the panels are on, but a bit flimsy when the inspection covers are removed. Also, when you are changing boards, the slots are on the bottom, upside down, which may be OK for a desktop unit, but is a nightmare for a tower.
The machine continues to perform well, I cold swap windows 98, SCO UNIX, and Linux from exchangeables, and all manage to work with all the Siemens supplied hardware....
