Fujitsu Siemens SCENIC Mobile 750 - PII 266 MHz TFT

Advantages: Lightweight, compact and flexible. Great user interface and robust. Great design feature to aid handling.
Disadvantages: Lacks the power of other tablets, has trouble launching multi application envronments

...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST4110 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative. The Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120 was the first such device we trialed here at the Trust and it was certainly a fantastic baptism for both ourselves and the hardware. Vigorously tested and scrutinised by disgruntled employee's, under duress, it was quickly seen as a fantastic breakthrough in technological architecture and benefited users in almost every aspect of their working lives. Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard

...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming.... Read review

Advantages: You get to really struggle with the Mic settings.
Disadvantages: Trying to get the Mic. to work reallt takes up all your free time

...I am connected to Skype but cannot get the Microphone to work properly on my Fujitsu E8020D which is 2 weeks old as at 12 August 2006. The driver detects the Microphone being plugged in but the Mic does not work properly. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please contact me at hfester@vodamail.co.za What bothers me most is that when I contacted the company whom I bought this laptop from ( Annex in Midrand South Africa), they told me they do not offer support. So much for offering 3 YEARS warranty and they cannot even offer me support 2 weeks later. DISGUSTING. Yet the 3 identical laptops which is approx 6 months old works fine except for the 3 purchaed within the last 2 months. Please email me if anyone knows how to solve this problem.
