Fujitsu Siemens Stylistic ST5010D - Pentium M 1 GHz - 12.1" TFT

Advantages: You get to really struggle with the Mic settings.
Disadvantages: Trying to get the Mic. to work reallt takes up all your free time

...I am connected to Skype but cannot get the Microphone to work properly on my Fujitsu E8020D which is 2 weeks old as at 12 August 2006. The driver detects the Microphone being plugged in but the Mic does not work properly. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please contact me at hfester@vodamail.co.za What bothers me most is that when I contacted the company whom I bought this laptop from ( Annex in Midrand South Africa), they told me they do not offer support. So much for offering 3 YEARS warranty and they cannot even offer me support 2 weeks later. DISGUSTING. Advantages: Confusing call qualification / Information repeated several times
Disadvantages: Once the call had been logged and agreed the repair was turned around very quickly

...After recently having a problem with A Fujitsu laptop which was still in warranty I recently contacted Fujistu to arrange to have the machine looked at. The problem with the machine appeared to be that the cable connecting the screen had fractured and needed replacing. After navigating the Support call system and speaking to several people regarding this fault we appeared to travel full circle and go back to the beginning explaining the fault and symptoms. Fujitsu seem to have a good support infrastructure and policy in place which just needs some fine tuning. They need to ensure that all information is relayed as required, and to appreciate that the users placing the call have different levels of experience. Advantages: Light, Powerful Tablet
Disadvantages: No Utilities

...A lovely notebook to look at aesthetically. Hasn't failed on me after 2 years. The good side is that it's really light and is convenient to bring from place to place. It is very responsive as a tablet and can be used for taking notes and presentations. The downside is that the sound card is quite terrible. The graphics card is not impressive either. The battery life tends to dwindle down after 1 year as does most laptops. The biggest con i find is that the CD rom is very bulky and is cumbersome especially since it is not connected to the mainframe. The memory and RAM of this is insufficient on its own and needs to be upgraded. Verdict: You probably can get a better laptop than this with the amount of money you're paying.... Read review
