Manufacturer's product description

The right solution for small-document scanning. The compact, lightweight fi-60F scanner is ideal for busy office and retail environments. It quickly scans important, small documents, such as insurance cards, identification cards, credit cards, passports, driver's licenses, photographs, and more. High-speed USB 2.0 connectivity combines outstanding performance and easy installation. Included TWAIN and ISIS drivers and ScandAll 21 software simplify integration and boost productivity right from the start. The Fujitsu fi-60F increases user productivity with fast, one-second scanning (at 200 dpi) and coverless scanning. When full detail is needed, the Fujitsu fi-60F scanner delivers clean, crisp scans up to 5.83 in. x 4.13 in. - in color, grayscale, and monochrome - with true, 600-dpi optical resolution. However, when time is critical, users can scan documents at 200 dpi in monochrome or 8-bit grayscale in just one second. And 24-bit color scans at 200 dpi take just 1.7 seconds. Coverless scanning eliminates the repetitive task of opening and closing the cover before and after each scan. Simply place documents on the flatbed and scan! Auto-deskew and auto-cropping functions optimize scan size and quality, conserving storage resources and properly orienting scans regardless of how they are placed on the flatbed.

A reasonable pair of speakers
Review of Fujitsu Siemens by richard_richard

Advantages: Clear sound quality
Disadvantages: Low output, lack of bottom end on sound

...These Fujitsu Siemens speakers came supplied with the Fujitsu Scenic W series of computers. We have a number of these computers at work and although these speakers aren't exactly the cutting edge of sonic technology, they aren’t too bad for a freebie! Specs The speakers have a maximum output of 8 watts. These doesn't sound like a lot, but it is perfectly adequate for most of the sounds made by our PCs at work! The speakers are 7" in height., 4" in depth and 3" in width, so they are fairly compact and don't take up too much room on the desk. On the front of the speaker unit is a grill to allow the sound to be pushed through. There is also a port at the top of each speaker unit, which presumably is some sort of bass horn and allows some bottom end to be produced. The colour is, surprise, surprise...beige! Inside the speakers I... Read review

A good value machine
Review of Fujitsu Siemens T Bird by GarethAvery

Advantages: Good value, high spec
Disadvantages: Two faults, both fixed reasonably

...I bought my T Bird in November 1999 from Sainbury's and since then it has worked very well apart from two faults. The hard disk failed within a month (due to a bad batch apparently) and also within the warranty period the DVD drive stopped reading DVDs (but continued to work with CDs) On both occasions the service was completed reasonably and as these two products were not specifically Fujitsu I put them both down to 'another company' I would certainly buy from Fujitsu again and notice that the same model (but with faster processor and larger HD) is being sold through newspaper adverts by a company called Under a Grand. Have a look at: www.underagrand.co.uk... Read review
