I'm afraid this review won't help you with anything very technical. This dvd/video recorder doesn't have Divx or a hard drive and it is probably missing some other features that you might want if you are really into the technical stuff. But what I can tell you is that this is really easy to set up and really easy to use and it certainly has everything that I want or need for a very good price.
I wanted to replace a separate video recorder and dvd player because there were so many leads and I was never able to get it all sorted so that I could record on all stations. But with the single unit it is so much easier to set up.
I haven't used all the features such as editing yet, but the menu system is very straightforward. This is the perfect machine to replace a video recorder. It is great for recording everyday programmes using a -DVDRW which can then be formatted for use again. If you want to keep a recording permanently just use a -DVDR. Recording from video to dvd and vice versa is simplicity itself. All in all I would definitely recommend this machine.
