You think from their website that they have every musical item under the sun. But this is all hidden by a false curtain in which most of the items arnt even in stock, and take months to actually get in stock. I originally payed for next day delivery after ringing them up and asking them if an Ibanez guitar was in stock. They said it was, so without hesitation i ordered. Then they emailed me saying that at the time i called the item was in stock but ... ...until it came. A week passed without any guitar. I checked order tracking and they pushed my 'estimate disbatch time' back by a month. I wondered why this was so i called them. Their arrogant staff just said there was a problem with the manufacturer and I had to wait. Today I am cancelling my order because ive seen other websites that actually say whether the item is in stock and the guarantee next day delivery. I wont ever buy from GAK again and ...

GAK GAK.co.uk, standing for Guitar, Amp, Keyboard, was originally my favourite website for musical instruments and audio equipment. The range of choice of guitars (my personal instrument) was fantastic compared to many of my local music stores. The prices were also very competitive. After hearing that Marshall were a good brand to go with for a starter I purchased a Marshall MG15CDR. This is a very dodgy company that hides behind the small print and will screw you if they get a chance. i first bought an amplifier from them without any problems only to have the amp die on me after just a few weeks. Nothing was told what was wrong and I had to go digging it out for myself. OK, I thought this was just a fluke but was bitten by this scam company later when ordered some more items and they completely ripped me off for the postage. ... ...them, honestly). Terms that are really important should be clearly visible. In my opinion I advise to stay clear away from this scam as you might get shafted as I have been. Consider yourself warned. From now on I am sticking with Amazon. Never had a problem there after dozens of online purchases. ...

I appreciate that most people are motivated to write a review following a negative experience, however I thought I would give credit where it's due. I recently placed an order with Andertons in Guildford. Without going into too much detail, it was a disaster. I had to wait over a week for my order, although i paid for next day delivery! The courier kept messing up. The shop reported me for attempted fraud and got my cards blocked. They took payment ... ...I had to drive over 70 miles to rectify things. When things were finally resolved I gave GAK a call. Following reviews I had read on here, established that it was prudent to call to check stock before placing an order. I think this is probably key to a positive experience. Anyway, once having established that my item was in stock, i placed my order and it arrived the very next morning. Perfect! Also, delivery was free and i saved £30. I couldn't ...

Quick review of GAK.co.uk
Now don't get me wrong GAK are ok. Check out their site and you'll see everything musical under the sun. But unlike most web sites they don't show you what's in stock, so you go through the process of ordering items, pay for them and then you get an email stating what's in stock (that's great as it arrives the next day), but if you're unfortunate enough to order an out of stock item then it shows an 'estimated' despatch date but they still debit your card! I ended up cancelling items as the wait was too long. You can check stock beforehand, but they never phoned me back and I bought cheaper elsewhere. Just beware it's not all there! ...
