GAK are a well stocked music shop, with a myriad of musical and studio products. The staff are generally friendly and appear to be knowledgeable of their products.
The only drawback is the company's failing to match the prices they quote on their website. I was prepared to spend a reasonable amount of cash, and was amazed by the reticent attitude. Consequently I decided to purchase from the web and found the same product at a lower price, so they lost the sale. I wouldn't both wasting time and fuel on them again.
Another concern is the quality of Gibson stock offered here. Priced from £1899, the first Les Paul I tried didn't work. The second didn't appear to have the weight of a standard and the neck size had the scale of a SG.
Many music stores err caution or spit blood when internet instruments are mentioned. Strange that this company appears to do the reverse by dissuading customers by failing to match their net advertised prices, then presents iffy stock for demonstration.
