Advantages: Makes Revising Fun! Disadvantages: None!
At the end of year nine , in high school , we had to choose four subjects which we had to take for GCSE (as well as maths , English , Science and Welsh). I knew that I wanted to take catering , PE and History , but couldn't decide on my fourth subject. After discussing my options with my teachers , I decided that I wanted to do Business Studies.
I had never really been interested in business before but the course looked really interesting and past students had told me that it was a good subject ; one which I would enjoy. It was also 'new to me' because all the other subjects were ones that we had already studied for the last three years , such as Geography , Art and Music (and I was already doing music outside of school , what with singing and piano lessons) and so I wanted to try something different , and so I am glad that I chose ...
Having already done two GCSE maths exams, I am currently in the process of revising for my last. The course I am doing is AQA Modular (3300). I have found this revision guide invaluable. Modules two and four are coursework, which varies from school to school, so they cannot include these. This book is aimed at those students taking the higher tier paper.

Advantages: All the information to help supplement those Geography lessons Disadvantages: Information hard to get too, left wondering whether you're reading the right section.
I take AS Geography, and nothing is more helpful than a stndard revision guide which you can refer to to give yourself a more in-depth view of the topic you're studying. With that said though, it can be slightly confusing as to where to look for the topic you want to look at. Coupled with this is the fact that it doesn't specifiy to one particular exam board, while, as that may sound better, is actually a pain trying to find the actual topics you're studying.
Also, the physical and human geography units which are optional means that, unless you like learning random facts about glacial environments, most of the information is largely irrelevant. Of course though, it is an underappreciated resource for exam study and I highly recommend it. ...
