I have thick but naturally straight hair that is shoulder length and have used numerous pairs of ceramic hair straighteners over the years to maintain a sleek and straight hairstyle.     Reason for Purchase ~ ‘As Straight As A Die’ I do not need straighteners but both my daughters do! I purchased this one as a gift for my youngest daughter, (one of many through the years I might add!) as she, like her sister has very thick hair that becomes frizzy with the slightest encouragement from the weather. Neither daughter lives at home now but both visit me often for hair therapy! I am no qualified hairdresser, and they’d certainly never let me perform a ‘bad hair day’ special on them!     How long do GHD straighteners tend to last before breaking?

    I've had mine about 3 years and they're still like new. I really want some coloured ones but won't buy any until mine break. I know it's a good thing that they're still in perfect condition but the coloured ones are too tempting!
