GHD Mk 4 hair straightener is one of the most anticipated hair care products ever released on the market. Compared to the old Mk 3. GHD has transformed the world of hair beauty and their irons have become an addictive accessory for women everywhere.
The MK 4 is the next generation of hair styler from GHD that has an even sleeker looking design, with improved performance and new features which then makes it even better than ever. This MK4 design can straighten and style any hair.
There are currently 4 designs on the market, these can be purchased from any professional hair salon that carries the GHD brand.
GHD DESIGNS
GHD Mk 4 Pink Straightener. This is the must have for the season, hot-pink GHD Mk 4 Limited Edition straightener is probably the most desirable hair care product in the world at the moment. This model is slightly more expensive then the black ones, but if you do purchase you tend to get a few freebies within the box and 10.00 of the proceeds go to a cancer charity.
GHD MK - 4 Mini Straightener features advanced ceramic technology combined with a smaller, curved barrel ideal for short hair this is also ideal for men, as it creates tighter curls or movement, and straightens the hair.

PRICES
These are quite expensive, but they do come with a 2 year warranty so if you look at it like you are paying for these for two years then they are reasonable.
GHD LIMITED EDITION PINK, this comes with styling DVD, style books, straightener, GHD Iron bag and 2 years warranty and registration details. They cost 130.00 from leading salons.
GHD MINI STYLER (Mini plate) these come with box, registration details and straightener. They cost 109.00 from professional salons.
GHD PROFESSIONAL STRAIGHTENER 9Standared plate) these come with box, registration details and straightener. They cost 119.00 from professional salons.
GHD SALON STRAIGHTENER (wide plate) these come with box, registration details and straightener. They cost 119.00 from professional salons.
DAMAGED OF FAULTY GHDS
If your ghd styler had been damaged or broken within the 2 year warranty, GHD will fix them of replace them free of charge, all you need is proof of when these were purchased and if it is within the two years they will sort it.
All you need to do is send them back to ghd well wrapped up to avoid further damage, and they promise to have them back to you within ten days, or you can go back to the salon you purchased them from and they will do it on your behalf or advise you on what to do.
What happens if the 2 year warranty has expired, well you can still send them back to ghd and have them fixed for a small charge, I am not sure what this price is as it does vary depending on the problem.
The other option is go to eBay and type in GHD FAUTLY and there are a number of people that repair them on there from 12.99 per fix, all you do is send them in a jiffy bag to these people, they fix and send back to you all for 12.99. I have known people that have done that and they were more than happy they received their ghds back within 498 hours. All for 12.99 plus the cost of them sending it to the repair man.
REGISTRATION OF GHDS
When you get a new set of GHDs, I always advise that they get registered so that they can validate the 2 year warranty. This can be done at www.ghd.com of you can send off the completed registration form, which is found in the ghd box.
WHERE CAN THESE BE PURCHASED
Professional hair salons that carry the ghd brand will be able to supply you with GHD stylers, in salon you will pay the full RRP of ghd stylers and products. Although sometime you find you will receive a product or voucher as promotion. This is down to the salon some will offer promotion and some wont, I would advise you visit a few salons before you commit and get prices, because some offer betters deals e.g. freebies.
Online, you can purchase GHD stylers, you more often than not get the cheaper them leading salons, I would advise buy for reputable firms as there are a lot of fakes flying around at the minute.
EBAY there are hundreds of GHDs and products on there, I strongly advise you stay away, Because the majority are fakes from china, they look the same and style the same, but they can still be pricey and you don't get the backup no warranty ect. I have had a customer that purchased the limited edition pink styler from eBay, it had all the markings in correct places but was fake, and they broke 4 weeks later and cost her 90.00 plus 6.00 postage. She could not get them fixed, ghd didn't want to know and the guy on eBay could not fix them as components were not the same.
So be very careful, especially as these are very good copy and only professionals will be able to tell, tell tale signs are different colour plug, loop to hang straighteners up, bulky on of switch ect. Original stylers do not have this.
CONCULSION
GHDS not only straightens hair beautifully, it also helps protect it by sealing in its natural oils as well as providing greater control to create superb flicks or curls. They are easy to handle and have many feature that can be very handy, for example the automatic shut off, I personally love this, as I am always on the run and when I get to work with the older style MK 3 I was worrying have I or haven't I turned them off, well now I don't have to worry because if I have not the they will be fine as they turn themselves off, and the house will still be standing when I get back. As curls have come back in a huge way these are fantastic, because people are not ready for a full time curl so don't want perms, so ghds are great to create curls whenever you want them.
These are very pricey but if they are looked after and maintained well they can last a very long time, it is very unusual to get a faulty part from the start, but if you do ghd are very good and replace straight away.
GHD CUSTOMER CARE
I have to admit the staff at ghd are very help full even if you call them or email a reply is with you within a few hours, so if there is anything you need to know just give them a look at. ...in them was "two different" ghd spray's, one was in a small mainly gold coloured bottle. It was for heat protection and the other was in "a deep purple coloured bottle" and it was for holding hair in place,"similar to a hair spray." These babies heat up in about 30 seconds, giving you a quick beep so you know they're hot, rather than having to watch out for a light. They get VERY hot, yet I have never burned myself on them, as every part which may come in contact with a hand, a finger or an ear stays very cool to touch. The salon length cable is very handy if you have a mirror far away from a plug socket.
... ...Bear in mind you will HAVE to use some form of heat protection on your hair, else it will frazzle, but it makes it amazingly poker straight if you do it correctly.
By this I mean sectioning your hair, working small sections at a time, and slowly gliding the straighteners through the hair.
So many people rush through this process, then complain that their hair won't stay straight! If you take your time and don't do too much at once, these GHD's ...

...These straighteners are perfect, obviously because they are of course GHD but also due to their overall quality.
They take next to no time to warm up, (30 secs approx) and they have a little red LED inside the handle that flashes when ready (this can be turned off too).
I have tried other straighteners in the past, and these are the best because they straighten hair in just one run-through, rather than about 10 like all the others i have tried.
They are pricey, but for what you get, its worth it!

...My hair is not straight at all - it is naturally quite curly, even with blow drying it is fly away and wavy. For years I have struggled with cheaper straighteners, that always left that wave in my hair, and it was never completely straightener, and it never stayed as I had styled it.
Then a friend of mine recommended I visit www.salonlines.co.uk and looked at their superb offers on ghd hair straighteners. I bought mine from them the same day and I have never looked back.
Originally my aim was to achieve perfectly straight hair - however I am now pretty adverturous with my hair styling. I can straightener, curl or simply flick out my hair in no time at all using my ghd ceramic straighteners.
