I've had 2 sets of other straighteners before these. I was a little slow on the purchasing of these compared to when released but I don't think straightening hair has really made a difference to people until now.
To achieve a long lasting straightened result, these are definately the ones for me. Before, I have tried Babyliss and a 20 quid pair of digital ones from superdrug. Both did the job but didn't last as long because the heat was not as intense or as fast working as these straighteners.
They heat up in a matter of seconds and ways of telling isn't by touching like most straighteners, but by the little red LED that flashes when it's fully heated (takes around 9 second i'd say).
Obviously this product is best used with GHD heat iron oil as that will protect your hair - but don't use too much or your hair will end up as greasy as a lump of butter.
Intense heat is the key to sleek and shiney, long lasting straight hair which is why GHDs have been produced to heat up so fast and so much. Pressure on the hair has nothing to do with it so don't hold them in one place for too long as it will only frazzle and not straighten any faster.
They come in 3 different sizes for short, medium, and long length hair. A beautiful pair of straighteners that will last you as long as you treat them with care.
Places to purchase GHDs include the GHD website themselves (www.ghdhair.com), eBay.co.uk (prices flucuate - beware of unrealistic delivery prices and genuine GHDs as apposed to those just putting them in title spaces for attention).
I believe the best place to buy them is your local salon, which is where I purchased mine for the genuine price.

I can't believe how much these cost (and the fact that people do buy it!) The con of vanity. I've got some nice Nicky Clarkes ceramic for £15 and they work wonderfully. How can they justify their price. Good review though.

Hi there ! Not a bad review considering you havent been here long , but may I suggest that you add in some info such as where to buy them and manufacturers info .. if you read the box you can type it in , or go to any website that sells them and copy and paste the information from there . Dont forget to separate the info though , and write a short piece stating where the info came from and maybe the website address too . Hope this helps boost your ratings . If you edit this review to include more info , leave me a note in my guestbook and I will come back and re-read and rate . Jane xx
