Curly, Straight, Spiky, Short, Long, Fringe, Who knows what the next hair trend is going to be and who even cares all you need to know is that GHD Straighteners will be able to achieve the look.
WHAT ARE THEY? For those of you who have never heard of GHD straighteners your either bald or happy with your hair but for the majority of us who need a little help taming our locks there are the fantastic invention of GHD Straighteners how did we survive before they were invented? Oh yeah we all had perms ooohhhh don't even go there no offence if you have a perm but for the semi fashion concise people like myself who don't go over the top with trends but like having manageable hair then look no further. GHDs are the ultimate straightness and since they were brought on the market in 2003 no other straightening device can touch them. There made from strong ceramic plates that heat up in a matter of seconds to heats of up to 210 degrees. The days of only hairdressers making your hair look perfect are well and truly over you can achieve a great look from the comfort of your own home or hotel room if your luck to be on holiday.
SO HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO WORK FOR YOU? Once you get your straighteners there so
easy to use plug them wait a couple of seconds for them to heat up and then to get maximum affect section of your hair so your only straightening small sections at a time this ensures you straighten s many strands as humanly possible. Make sure your hair is in the right parting at the end when styling though because once you've straightened it there's no going back. The heat of these means you only have to pull the straighteners through the hair pieces once this ensures no fly away hairs and no frizziness. If you're going for a curly or wavy look then just wind the hair round the straighteners to achieve the look perfect! If you straighten often then normally you don't have to straighten every morning but if you find yourself doing this then you may want to invest in a good heat protection spray to protect the hair from the heat.
DIFFERENT STRAIGHTNERS There are 3 main types of GHD straighteners
· GHD IV Styler - These are priced around £119.00 and the most popular of all. They are original GHDS with a bit of fine tweaking of the years. Their not at all bulky there thin with a curve to the outer case so you can create beautiful bouncy curls.
· GHD IV Mini - These are priced around £109.00 and are good for short hair because hence the mini name they are the smallest and the most lightweight. They are good because they are very easy to handle curling under that pob, pulling that sweeping fringe poker straight or creating cute little curls. You can pack them into any bag easily.
· GHD IV Salon styler - There also cost about £119.00 but there the most bulky of all the straighteners as they have wider plates, which cover a larger area. There designed to tame the hardest of hair types such as long locks or out of control Afros.
All of them have safe modes programmed into them so they switch of if not used within 30 minutes, universal voltage compatibility so they can be used in any country and can be purchased within special packs including heat proof mats and other GHD products. If you just buy the straighteners on their own you get them in a nice black and gold box with a products booklet and a booklet about your guarantee and how to look after your straightners.
I'VE PAID ALL THIS MONEY and NOW THEY HAVE PACKED UP !! Don't stress they have an amazing policy which comes when using such a good reputable company. If your straighteners break down within the year or two years with the new models (which believe me they wont these bad boys are hard wearing) then you can take them back to where you purchased them and they will send them off and get you a new pair or repair them asap. If your like me though and have had them for donkeys years and don't have a box, a receipt and as I thought a hope you just chuck them away and fork out for a new pair don't you? Wrong if you send them back by recorded delivery no matter how long you have had them they will asses the straighteners and send you a bill for the repair, which is normally about £50.00, and they will send you back a brand new pair. You may believe this or not but I can say from my own personal experience it works. I had my straighteners for over 3 years and one day they kept going on and off so I returned them straight away in bubble wrap and within a week a got a recorded delivery note through my door, I didn't have a clue what I had missed so I went down to my post office and to my surprise there was a new gleaming pair of boxed straighteners free of charge with a note apologising for the inconvenience. How good is that! If you're in the same position the address you need to write to is Ghd PO Box 397 Keighley West Yorkshire BD20 0WX
ANY OTHER PRODUCTS? Of course there is no company just brings out one product they have to jump on the bandwagon. They sell a selection of other products such as hair brushes, shampoos, conditioners, styling products and protectors all of which are priced from £9.99 upwards. I keep meaning to try some of the products but haven't so far so I can't recommend any of these but do look appealing in the hairdressers.
OVERALL THOUGHT Ok a few of you are thinking who would pay this sort of money for a pair of hair straighteners buy you have to realise these baby's transform your whole look! You get what you pay for in the end. If you opt for a cheaper pair of straighteners then great but be prepared for how long there going to last you and yes they may seem ok at first but how long till you find yourself having to buy a new pair. My advice to anyone is opt for the best if you are going to go for any because looking good is important if it wasn't to you then you wouldn't be reading this and anticipating buying a pair. If you have quite straight hair anyway then ok you can probably get away with some a little less expensive because you probably wont need to use them as much and you wont need something so harsh to straighten your hair. However if you have very hard to manage hair or tight curls then don't even bother with any other you will be wasting your time these straighteners are the best on the market for a reason, they are bulummin good!
WHERE CAN I GET THEM? If you want to buy yourself a pair or need any further advice consult their official website www.ghdhair.com there is everything you need t know about the wide range of ghd products and there is a great question and answer page giving advice on all sorts of hair dilemmas not specifically on straightening either. If you don't like ordering from the Internet then you can buy them from any good hairdressers.
How pricey. The funny thing is that curly haired women always wants their hair straight while the ones with straight hair always fancy them wavey. By the way, a very comprehensive review. It's an exceptional for me!

i couldnt do without mine now... much better than cheaper alternatives
Advantages: Poker straight hair for days, seems to keep hair clean for longer and they look very smart and expensive Disadvantages: V.expensive. Would hurt SO much if you accidentally touch the irons
Advantages: Straight, sleek, shiney hair - like no other straightener can achieve. Disadvantages: The are so expensive to buy! I burn my fingers everytime
