I have tried several different products to try and combat this problem however in my quest for the perfect product I discovered GHD thermal protection spray which is ideal for repairing weak and damaged hair caused by heat styling.

I am always concerned about the heat styling damage to my hair as a result of using hairdryers, tongs and my most prized possession my GHD hair straighteners. This constant abuse can often leave hair feeling dry and looking dull and lifeless. I have tried several different products to try and combat this problem however in my quest for the perfect product I discovered GHD thermal protection spray which is ideal for repairing weak and damaged hair caused by heat styling.

The Product

This product has been specially formulated for use before, during and after heat styling. The manufacturer states that the product will help guard the hair against heat damage while locking in moisture and nutrients. This particular spray has been specifically formulated for weak and damaged hair it deflects heat damage strengthens the hair with its anti-breakage formula . In addition it also contains UVA protection.

The Packaging

This item comes packaged in a very modern and funky triangular shaped plastic bottle. Its predominant colour is a shimmering gold. It has the easily recognisable GHD graffiti logo on the front and it states that this is the thermal protector spray for weak and damaged hair. The lid lifts off revealing a spray mechanism.

Application

To use this product simply wash, condition and towel dry the hair. Then simply spray evenly all over the hair. You then just dry and straighten your hair in the usual way. You can also use this on dry hair, you just spray lightly onto divided sections of the hair spraying lightly over the particular area you are working on and straighten. The great thing about using this product is that it is uncomplicated and easy to use.

Other Info

The product is light and airy and feels weightless when applied to the hair. It has an extremely interesting and very unique fragrance. I know it seems odd however it is hard to describe, it reminds me of parma violets initially however when it settles down it is very pleasant and refreshing. The price of the spray is £8.99 for a 150ml bottle of the product however I would suggest shopping around as there is a bit of a variation in price depending on where piurchased.

Advantages

I have been using this product for a few months and am now on my second bottle of the product. I have noticed a real difference to the condition of my hair and would highly recommend trying this item to anyone who suffers from weakened hair as a result of heat styling. My hair appears more shiny and manageable and is in a much healthier state. I seem to have fewer split ends and I put it down to using this spray.

Disadvantages

The fragrance of this product is certainly an acquired taste however I find it extremely pleasant although I appreciate that it wont be for everyone. It is rather expensive however there are pricier items on the market which I don't think work as well as this one.
