Real Men Dont Eat Quiche

AdvantagesBright and Cheerful

DisadvantagesCheap and Unreal

"...GMTV. Firstly in terms of intelligence GMTV sits between the offerings of BBC and C4. It is not as high-brow as the BBC show but certainly not as devoid of brain as the Vaughan and Van Outen offering. The show is presented by a number of presenters who again in age are between the BBC crew and the Big Breakfast team. Though sometimes I think the BBC ones are old for their age and The Big Breakfast ones are terminally juvenile. The one thing ..." Read review

Wake up to GMTV

AdvantagesVery in-depth news

DisadvantagesCan be repetative

"...news and Local area news. GMTV tries to keep up with the times and inform people of the latest technology, an example of this is this is their ongoing Internet research that helps beginners with the WWW. From 6am - 7am is the GMTV news hour, which includes more National 'New development' news, which is similar to most other morning programmes. Then from 7am - 9am is the Main GMTV, which deals with current affairs and all that I described above. If ..." Read review

Are you up at the crack of dawn

AdvantagesTop news, good stories throughout the morning

Disadvantagesnone

"GMTV is one of the most refreshing things to watch first thing in the morning! Okay, not all of us are up early enough to watch it. Sometimes I'm not, but when I am, I do have it on GMTV. From 6am - 7am is the news hour, bringing you the latest news from around the world. Then from 7am - 9am you're in the hands of the lovely Fiona Phillips and Eamonn Holmes. With a splattering of good humour thrown in throughout the morning to keep the show somewhat ..." Read review

The nation's staple breakfast diet is unthreatening, but is it really that appealing?

AdvantagesCatch up on current affairs and see familiar faces over breakfast

DisadvantagesSomewhat dated formula watched by many simply out of habit

"...the UK who hasn't watched GMTV at some time or another. Kicking off in the early hours with a news broadcast, GMTV takes you right through the morning, with a current affairs type of show during breakfast time and then Lorraine Kelly's lifestyle slot later in the morning. It's plain, simple and unthreatening, but if it was a new show debuting now without its existing strangehold on morning ratings, I'm sure it would fail miserably. It has no spark ..." Read review
