GN Netcom GN 8120 USB laptop Headset adapter

Advantages: Great look and feel to the headset, remarkable sound quality
Disadvantages: Rather pricey and poor battery life

...THis GN Netcom headset, is a beautiful piece of machinery. It has a stuning design and prefectly easy to use. I simply opened the box andhardlyhad to use the instruction manual. I connceted it up and i was off! the sound quality is phenomenal, far better than any headsets that phone companies supply you with... i could my the person crystal clear, and i felt that he was right there with me. the only downside, is that the battery life, i felt was rather lacking. Not long after i had bought the product, i felt i had to keep on charging it every 10 or so hours, which i felt was rather ridiculous. however, i put up with it becuase i liked the design and how easy it was to use. The manager offered to purchase a wireless headset for me but I decided to stick with what I had – after all, the set was paid for, any new purchase would have to be paid for again, and in this economic climate, I don’t want to spend more money than necessary. Advantages: comfy all day wear

...This headset is a bit expensive for its quality. Although i bought mine outside the country for a considerable lesser price, had i known better, i would have bought a wireless one. It is still functional after two years. I lost both of the voice tube microphone cover though and i think that is whats causing too much echo when i talk and too much mic sensitivity. That also causes alot of feed back so i have to press on mute all the time, and everytime i am done speaking, to avoid the feedbacks. On the upside it supports all Plantronics amplifiers and USB-to-headset adapters so i guess i just have to get one. It is also comfortable to wear for long hours. I would not recommend to get leatherette ear cushions, that made my ears sweat and itchy eeks.... Read review
