One of the best around
Review of ViaMichelin Navigation X-960 UK/Ireland New Edition by
outofmybox
Advantages: Almost human voice, free speed camera updates
Disadvantages: Car mount could be easier to fit, no short cut buttons
I've had a few different sat nav brands over the years but my favourite by far is ViaMichelin!
For a start, owners can update safety camera locations for FREE, it has a built-in MP3 player, and a bright clear screen.
Best of all, you get verbal warnings and reminders that a "speed check" is approaching and how far, (other sat nav's just bleep normally when it's too late and expect you to pay every year!)
The voice is very clear and loud (best ...

Best sat nav ever !!
Review of TomTom ONE Europe by
talconstruction
Advantages: easy to use, tuch screen, strong volume
Disadvantages: none
the Best sat nav ever made!! i bought 2 of them (the first got stolen) and its the simplest and easiest to use, find every spot you need to find, you just need to practice on how to search. when i came to london (almost 2 years ago) i coulden't find anything and i had to take my wife with me everywhere (she was born here). than i got the tom tom one.
its simple to operate, and even for a complete stranger like me it took 10 minuets to understand. ... ...so many roads and places but i still use it to get anywhere in the quickest
way possible (and avoid speed cams on the way there). once i got stoped by police for entering a closed road. i told the pc that i trusted my sat nav and it took me the wrong way. he put his head inside and said: " are you trying to fool me ?", he said : "you've got the best navigator in the world, it does't make mistakes..." ...

NavMan F20 gets you there
Review of Navman F20 by
alibatch111
Advantages: Easy to use, Speed camera detection
Disadvantages: None
...An added bonus of the NavMan is that it also has fixed speed canera detection.
I have also had the chance to use a Tom Tom SatNav and in comparisson the NavMan F20 is so much better, looks better, maps are better and is so simple to use.
I would recommend this over anything else. ...

A receiver... not well informed
Review of Mio C250 by
MonyMax
Advantages: Price
Disadvantages: Few instructions, maps not so good, low volume always
...By turning on the MIO C-250 for the first time you have to set the data for the initialization like hour and day or your personal POI (points of interest) as your favourite departure/arrival address (this last thing is not necessary but so useful!).
The use is not so easy for two reasons:
- First one: the abstruse way the menu works that forces you to search in different sub-pages to make chained operations
- Second one: the insufficient ... ...which is as for me decidedly useless: you can transform MIO in an mp3 player by using SD card.
After all this little gadget made me save lots of time... and is still making.
So my judgement can only be almost positive.

Can't go anywhere without it.
Review of Navman ICN 530 by
jenmil
Advantages: Clear and easy to use
Disadvantages: non
...and commited ourselves to the Navman iCN 530.
One of the main reason for buying the Navman iCN 530 was that it comes with an European map which suit our purpose then. The SAT NAV comes in a black casing with easy to use buttons, the TFT touchscreen is clear and easy to view. There is two switches, one on top of the machine for standby and the other at the bottom to turn the power. For the voice guided directions, you can choose between a female ... ...The buttons on the Navman iCN530 consist of a GPS button, the menu button, the nearest car park and petrol station. We were amazed by the number of satellite station signals received. We counted to more than 25 satellite stations at one time. In the menu button, you can select to adjust the illumination to day or night view. To get instructions to the destination, we would just key in the destination postcode or the address. We would then store this ...
