I have owned my Tom Tom for nearly two years now, and use it most days for work. The system is really easy to use thanks to a touch screen menu system, using symbols as well as descriptions for the main menu options, and it is really easy to program and set up with your own details. No matter how you program it the Tom Tom will always lead you down narrow country lanes rather than the safer A or B roads, and very annoingly it was convinced that we were in the middle of a field when on some parts of the A30, despite updating the maps on a regular basis. The TOMTOM GO 920T is an essential for people who travel both short distances and long distances in the car. I paid £353 for this beauty. ...have text-to-speech which means the tomtom can announce street names, as well as sms and traffic messages. Which means you can focus more on driving as the tomtom does everyhting for you. ...3d, a real disappointment and hp are not putting mind at ease by saying the 3d coverage will get better. Cannot understand what the voice commands are saying, speaker is also poor and distorted. The map keeps reverting back to 2d mode when driving for no reason, this is dangerous as I have to keep finding the 3d button.
