A package of maps worth having

Advantages: Ease of use and price

Having used a Tom Tom Go 700 for a number of years, I decided to update the maps of Western Europe. Tom Tom uses software called Tom Tom Home which is used to download the updated maps. Having connected Tom Tom Go 700 to my PC, via a USB cable, it was a simple matter of clicling on the relevant icon on the Home Software, paying for the maps, and downloading them over the internet. TomTom USA/Canada Maps Add-On

Advantages: Helps guide you around other countries. Easy to install
Disadvantages: None as yet

Review of TomTom Map of the USA and Canada Maps

The whole of Europe!

Advantages: great software, great usability, graphics, features, lots of maps
Disadvantages: price, it was not that easy to install

Review of TomTom Navigator 5 Maps of Western Europe Maps

You need tom-toms to find your way

Advantages: Large clear menu for touchscreen. Quick setup to navigate to postcodes. Clear driving instruction.
Disadvantages: Poor POIs, Lack of route preview. Missing villages. No cam preview found.

Review of TomTom Navigator 6 Maps of Western Europe GPS software

Tom Tom Eastern European Maps

Advantages: Very accurate and simple to use
Disadvantages: Couldn't find any !

I purchased this through the TOMTOM website and downloaded it to my TomTom GO520 T. It downloaded really quickly through our 8 meg connection and I had it installed on my device within a few minutes. We used it for a driving holiday to Hungary in Feb 2008 and it proved fantastic - we did not come accross any roads (including tiny farm trtacks) that were not listed.
