Swedish Simbin has grown to be one of the major developers for racing simulations. Games such as GTR, GT legends, GTR2 and as latest Race07 are even if slightly lacking, very good simulations. To give little background for me, im a passionate sim racer. Played most of them, and i race on many online leagues. So the opinions are from a little bit of a serious racer rather than casual one.

GT Legends simulates the FIAs series for historic racing cars, therefore it means it simulates the old racing cars as they are raced todate. Theres quite large selection of historical vehicles, and without doubt everyone will find a classic which appeales to him from the game. My own favourites are Fords Mustang and Escort, and very spicy De Tomaso Pantera. It is very nice how Simbin has managed to give each car a very unique feeling. Each of the cars feel and sound different. You can use various driving aids like in any other simulation, but they always take out from the fun. This game definitely needs to be played with a steering wheel. At the start theres quite bit of challenge with the handling, but the single player career mode which slowly opens new races and gives possibility to buy new cars when you advance helps to learn the game little at a time.

Amount of settings which you can adjust in the cars are rather few, but still more than enough. These are old cars, you cant in reality tune everything as you would in more advanced racing vehicles. Learning the setups and adjusting will help quite a bit, thanks to the nice physics modelling which will make you feel your setup altering on the drivability. Its very rewarding, maybe even one of the best games to start learning how to setup a racecar, because there is not too much to adjust for inexperienced to get frustrated. You can also easily find lots of nice setups from the internet, but i still must recommend its a high advantage if you learn to setup the car to suite your driving style.

Theres reasonable amount of tracks, and once again internet is full of free addon tracks. Details are very beautifull, even if its a little bit older game. Personally i just cant quit enjoying the audio visual side of the game, Old cars just have the something to set me off to route to pleasure. Graphics maybe arent the "latest hot" but damned fine looking game it is anyway.

Multiplayer is made quite allright, netcode is little sloppy at times. Theres quite few players still online, but id suggest at first practicing alone, and if you still find enthusiasm get some courage and join one of the numerous online communities. There are leagues for drivers of all skill levels. Its very good fun, cant beat the feeling when after a hard race you finish and all the concentration and excitement peaks and you can finally relax and feel the satisfaction. Im personally rather hooked to the feeling. :)

For the final words.. If you are interested in cars, and have a steering wheel.. buy the game allready! Cheap, nice looking, great physics, great cars.. great sounds. Highly recommended.
