Review of GU Naughties Millionaire's Flapjack
The Product
What is it?
A black plastic, circular pot containing 16 pieces of chocolate coated caramel flapjack.
Packaging
A classy looking black plastic bucket type container with a photograph of three pieces of the flapjack. Nutritional values, allergy advice and ingredients are listed on the side of the container. The container is sealed with a peel away plastic strip around the lid and then the actual product is sealed for freshness with foil inner lid. My one criticism about the packaging is that I can see no mention of whether it is recyclable on the label, which, perhaps wrongly, leads me to believe that it is not!
Taste, Texture and Aroma
The flapjack is one of the nicest I have ever tasted, rich and sweet in flavour, oaty, with a lovely chewy
texture. With the layer of caramel and coated in thick creamy milk chocolate, they really are a flapjack to savour! The flapjacks are fairly firm to the bite, the creamy chocolate simply melts on the tongue and your taste buds are flooded with the sweet blend of caramel, syrup and chocolate. Unlike other mass produced flapjacks, I did not find that irritating tooth coating after taste which often spoils this type of treat.
The flapjacks smell gorgeous, sweet and almost exotic with a hint of cocoa. Is your mouthwatering yet?

Company Information
GU are a small London based company, employing only 25 staff. . Most of the Gü products are produced in the UK, using 53% Belgian cocoa chocolate. The website states that the company's mission is to build a brand that stands for seriously good chocolate with a decent helping of fun. Sounds Gu d to me! Website:- www.gupuds.com The website is worth a visit, it is a fun interactive site with competitions to win free GU products either for individuals or for the workplace. Postal address:- Gü, Rensow Ltd. Shepherds Building, Rockley Road, London, W14 0DA
My Thoughts and Conclusion
A lovely flapjack treat, ideal for sharing if you are that generous! Personally I'd hide them in the cupboard and keep them for yourself!
To be honest, my daughter bought these as part of a birthday gift for my other half who is a bit of a flapjack connoisseur! We were very impressed, the picture on the packaging looked great, the smell was divine and the taste? Out of this world! The proof of the pudding is in the eating as the saying goes and these really were delicious.
The calorie and fat content are of course sky high, which to me means they are definitely not part of a 'healthy' eating regime, but then what sweet/cake/biscuit is?
Admittedly, I probably wouldn't buy these for regular consumption given the price, but for a treat or special occasion, they are well worth a try!
