Advantages: Keeps you laughing! Disadvantages: A little crude for some people in places!
...When i first saw the show, Baddiel & Skinner, i felt an awesome sense of dejavu. I felt like i knew Baddiel from somewhere, had come across humur just like his before. Then i realised, a book i picked up cheap at a supermarket sale, Time For Bed was written by the one and only - David Baddiel. The book is hilariously funny, and although for some people it could be quite shocking i loved it. I have never laughed so hard, at the character, Gabrielle, at his honesty, and life story. The book explores a forbidden relationship between Gabrielle's and his crush on his brother's wife in a very comical manner. It is easy to laugh at, and to relate to the characters within the novel. Although i have not read any other books by David Baddiel, if they are similar to this one, then i would love to!!...

The Van Review ofThe Van - Roddy Doyleby
bmsaint14
Advantages: Very funny in a touching way Disadvantages: None
...The Van by Roddy Doyle is comedic novel of depressing poverty and dmoestic chaos. In the novel, the main character of Jimmy Rabbitte Sr shows that although he is unemployed he overcomes this to begin to provide for his family after him and his friend Bimbo take on a chihp van.
The novel scrutinises Jimmy's unemployement and how he deals with his feelings of inadequacy at no longer being able to provide for his family. Despite Jimmy's difficult life and weaknesses he overcomes these and shows a ressilliant character and doesn't let anything bring him down and is always positive about life.
The working class dialogue and humour in the key in this novel as it is very humerous and Jimmy's patter of speech will make you howl with laughter...

Let me bite your neck Review ofThe Vampire Lestat: The Vampire Chronicles (Vol 2) - Anne Riceby
chachaqueen
Advantages: An amazing believable world, Can't put it down! Disadvantages: Can't put it down!
...of a small theatre. It is here that he attracts the attention of the Vampire Magnus.
He is taken away to a castle and kept as a prisoner, before his blood is drained. He is offered the blood of Magnus and this leads to his physical body dying, but he remains alive, still himself. His heart no longer pumps, he no longer needs food, except for blood. He has the ability to heal very quickly, the only two things that can kill him are decapitation and fire.
Lestat is orphaned soon after his birth into the vampire world, as his sire steps into the fire voluntarily. It seems that this is a trait that is quite common. Most vampires choose to die after they have lived for a long time.
Lestat doesn't allow his friends to see him, as he has a supernatural look to him. He keeps in touch with his family, and has a visit from his mother, Gabrielle...
