The price of the appliances is certainly above average and not affordable to everyone. For example the approximate price of a 60cm single oven is £2500 (this is only a guide price. You will have to contact your local kitchen retailer to find out the exact price depending on the size and model). So comparing to other brands like Neff, AEG and Bosch, it is definitely much more.
My best way to describe the price and quality of Gaggenau is to compare it to cars. It is the 'Rolls Royce' of the appliance world hence the quality and price.

Advantages: fast ignition, very powerful Disadvantages: quite chunky looking
For those who dont know the brand name Gaggenau, I would put it in the most simplest comparison 'it is the Rolls Royce/Bentley of appliances'. Gaggenau has been around for many centuries and its name comes from a small town in Germany.
The range of appliances is vast including large capacity ovens built in ovens, steam ovens, coffee machine.....etc (the list is endless).
I came across Gaggenau appliances almost three years ago now and since then I have met many committed customers of Gaggenau who have had the appliances fitted for more than 20years.
Amongst the appliances is the 90cm gas burner hob KG491 210. Available in stainless steel with aluminium control knobs, but certainly for the serious cooks who love to cook on gas.

Extremely efficient, Cheap:quality ratio is high, two ovens for efficient use and quality of food 'production'. Cooling system is of high quality.
None so far with mechanical devices, however, is reasonabaly heavy, not effecting the cookin and other various factors associated with the oven though. (*)
