I have worked in a couple of the high street coffee shops and being someone that enjoys a good cuppa I wanted to buy a machine that would allow me to make a perfect espresso at home. I tried many other makes of machine but found they just did not come up to the standard that I expect, either because they were made of flimsy plastic or could not reach a very high pressure for the steam. Which is why I chose the gaggia classic it is a strong machine with a heavy filter that will not break too easily, it takes just a couple of minutes to warm up and has a high pressure to make lots of lovely froth for those cappuchino days. the water tank holds enough water to last a couple of days when making coffee for three or four and gaggia even make their own descalor to use on the machine which makes cleaning it easy. The only one downfall I found with buying a gaggia coffee machine was getting the parts should you loose any (like me!). I very stupidly managed to loose the filter basket that holds the coffee when making espresso, I went back to the shop where I bought the machine but they did not stock them, i tried searching the internet and even ended up phoning the gaggia head office in Italy to eventualy get the part that I needed. So as for finding bits should they get lost well that is a bit of a soar area. However don't allow that to stop you choosing this machine as it is well worth the £200 I spent on it.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
I would have given this a very helpful except that there is too much information in one block, and my dyslexic brain cannot cope with it. Split this into about three or four paragraphs (with extra space between paragraphs), adding just a tad more about the various features the machine has, and when you let me know, I'll come back and nrate your review. jes ≈≈≈≈{; -)-{{:::{||||||<

Welcome to Ciao. Since you obv work in coffee shops I was xpecting a high profile review esp from a machine that is a byword in Commercial and domestic products for coffee brewing. Sorry for the rating but Id like to see what this machine has in detail - you could well make up my mind for future purchase.. However more details would be greatful aswell as helpful to anyone in the market for one of these machines. Nar
