I went for this machine after the barista (sp?) at our local cafe recommended it. Anyway it makes much better coffee compared to my previous machine. The piece of plastic mentioned in the other (and may I say excellent) review but not in the instructions, is rectangular with the corners cut off and goes I believe underneath the top plate of the drip tray and drip tray itself. The heating time from switch on to read to use is six minutes, by which time the filter holder is well warmed. I cannot comment on the milk frother as I only drink americano, but I can imagine the nozzle could come off in use, which is a little scary to think about. I managed to pick this machine up for £199 which is about 50 quid cheaper than elsewhere.
