They make excellent ice cream and it is the traditional home made kind where you know what ingredients are being used and not lots of strange sounding chemicals. Much better than even the best luxury ice creams being marketed by the big supermarkets.
They are very noisy though and the lid has a tendency to come off during the process. The solution is to make your ice cream in the garage and place a 14lb weight on the lid to stop it coming off!
One major disappointment is that my machine has stopped working and I cannot find anyone to fix it. I have searched the net but their does not seem to be any service network or agents in the UK - beware!!

In case you haven't already found this out, I looked at the Gaggia website on www.gaggia.uk.com and you can request a repair from them. They will come and collect the machine from you. I hope you have already sorted it out, but if not I hope this is helpful.
