Manufacturer's product description
Gaggia have improved upon thier Titanium bean to cup coffee machine by introducing the brand new Gaggia Titanium Plus. By adding the E-Plus system to the Titanium Gaggia have given the machine the ability to make an infinately variable cup of coffee. The E-plus system controls the aroma of the coffee. With the new Gaggia Titanium Plus you can make intense ristreto, just the way the Italians love it, or long smooth Americano and all at the turn of a dial. You can rely on the Titanium Plus to produce perfect crema and body every time.
Advantages: Flashy looking Disadvantages: Twice the price of the same models
...This is the same EXACTLY as any other Gaggia Synchrony/ compact. The machine is made by Saeco which is badged as Prima/Gaggia and Saeco. Prices for the same machines run at 230 pounds to over 800. The only difference being the buttons, it does nothing different to Synchrony compact (Costing a couple of hundred pounds) I bought this to replace a synchrony Compact but returned it when I rumbled their ploy! They do make good coffee, better than the Siemens range (Which i tried) and my god it pushes 'nespresso' into a corner by the throat and beats it to a pulp!. Coffee very good, controls gimmicky and you pay for this. It is a basic Synchrony with strap ons!!...

Advantages: Large water tank, Speedy, Compact, Easy to customise and use Disadvantages: Body finish could be better for the price; Brew unit (plastic) is not very sturdy
...After owning a Krups Crematic combi machine for 5 years, I wanted to own something a step up, although there was nothing really wrong with the Krups and it served me well on a daily basis.
Although the new GaggiaTitanium has been out for at least a few months there don't seem to be any reviews of it yet, so I hope this is of help. I was in 2 minds whether to plump for this model or the slightly cheaper Gaggia Synchrony Digital Compact. The main reason the Titanium won was because the water tank was double the size of the Compact, the look was better, and the features were improved. One of the other differences between these two models is the Titanium has an "active" cup-warmer whereas the Compact has a "passive" cup-warmer. Active means it has it's own heater, not just the heat from the machine.
So - on with the review. Set...

Advantages: Bean-to-cup, Easy to use, Fresh coffee quickly, Nice design, Ground coffee bypass Disadvantages: Coffee bean container not removable, Does not steam while making coffee
...I bought one of these refurbished directly from Gaggia UK. I have seen them advertised up to £750 but I paid a lot less than that.
Gaggia can take a long time to ship a refurbished unit but they did tell me the lead time when I ordered it. (Refurbished machines are machines that are new, but have been shop damaged or had parts missing and so get returned to Gaggia and are repaired under warranty.)
I bought this machine as a second machine as we already have a Synchrony Compact Digital for 3 years which has done over 2200 coffees. The Synchrony Compact Digital will be given a new home soon.
Nice design touches in the Titanium machine AND the Synchrony Compact Digital include:
- Twin boiler, meaning steam is produced very quickly after making coffee, but you cannot do both coffee and steam at the same time. From cold, the machine takes...

I like ice cream. My family likes ice cream. We scoff pots of Haagen-Dazs or Ben and Jerry’s but bemoan the price we have to pay in comparison with our experiences in other parts of the world.

On initially taking the machine out of the box it felt quite flimsy and plastic compared to other coffee machines I have owned. Three buttons sit on top of the machine respectively, one to switch on, one to pour coffee and one for steam/frothing. The... more
I've never been particularly keen on drinking coffee at work - the options usually consisting of either a mug of the instant variety made with water boiled in a disgustingly furred-up kettle, or a paper cup of brown-coloured hot liquid dispensed by a... more
