If you are serious about having the best coffee's possible then this is the machine for you. The machine has a stainless steel front, also on the front is the usual drip tray, this catches any drips or spills, there is the steam nozzle, this is used to froth the milk from a small jug or you can attach the Cappuccinatore(this is not always a supplied accessory) so check before you purchase as this is an excellent accessory and I would recommend purchasing it if it does not already come supplied with it, basically the Cappuccinatore pushes on to the steam tube, then the little rubber pipe goes into a jug containing milk, the milk is then sucked up through this and it them comes out of the, well what I would describe as a ball shaped object, it will come out of this ready frothed into the cup which you place below it, it really gives excellent results.
Also on the front is a series of buttons these are,Espresso(makes an Espresso), normal coffee, Cafe Lungo(a longer coffee making process) all of these three buttons can be programed to accommodate various size cups and this is a easy thing to do, the other buttons are the ground button(you press this when you are using ready ground coffee), hot water (this is used to just deliver hot water out of the steam nozzle) descaling button(this is used to descale when the need arises). Also on the front is the blue digital display which basically tells you what to do and also shows what the coffee maker is doing, this is excellent.
On the top there is the coffee beans container which holds around a full 225-250 gram pack of coffee beans, there is settings in the coffee bean container that allows you to select the coarseness/fineness of grind and also you can select the amount of coffee it will use to make your cup of coffee, from here the coffee beans are feed into the grinder. You can also use ready ground coffee if desired and there is an opening on the top for placing the ready ground coffee in.
There is a clock as well and you will need to set this if you are wanting to use the timer on the coffee maker, you can also program a time when you want to switch the machine on and off, which is really usefull as you can set the machine to switch on before you get up and then all that needs to be done is to place a cup underneath the coffee dispensing nozzle and press the button for the type of coffee you are wanting, I would recommend putting the milk in the cup before you place the cup on the coffee maker, as there is a really good crema(a coffee coloured froth that is on top of the coffee once it has been made) and it can be hard to tell how much milk to add.
The coffee from this machine is as good as from a good quality coffee shop, it really is that good, it may take a few cups of coffee to get this machine setup for your personal taste, but after that you will be experiencing beautiful coffee, and there is nothing better than having the machine on and ready to dispense you coffee the moment you get up. The only critisism I have is that the instructions could be more clearer but they are not that bad.
If you are really serious about coffee and want a freshly ground coffee everytime you make a cup and for it to be as good as a good quality coffee shops coffee is, then this is the machine for you, you will not be dissapointed.
