This is one great card, a bargain at the price, and you just cant go past a GT with a passive heatsink and GDDR3Ram.
I bought this 256Mb Card, after previously owning the budget7600GS, thinking it would be a small improvement, well let me set the record straight by saying that for the small price difference (approx 30%) over the budget card, you get a bunch more bang for your buck.
First and foremost the Ram on the card is DDR3, giving better timings, faster speeds, and lower temperatures. Which is ideal because this card is passively cooled by an oversized heatsink (the heatsink is the size of the whole card) and the card takes up two slots for heat ventilation so make sure you have a spare PCI slot next to your PCI-Express slot.
Performance wise the card is very impressive, the core is clocked at GT Speeds, and even allows for 10% (my experience) overclocking with no extra cooling or voltage modifications.
Gainward have positioned themselves excellently with this card, priced only slightly higher than the 7600GTS and a fair amount cheaper than it's competitors.
I was considering the GTS as a good budget upgrade but am so much happier with this card, as it plays all modern games at fantastic resolution and consistently high frame rates. At first I was worried the passive heatsink wouldn;t be enough, but after using it I am sincerely impressed and sure you will be too!
