Oh Galaxy, your smile, your curves, the way your neck smells... oops, am I writing? Maybe I was getting a little overexcited as I sit here with my Sunday afternoon chocolate bar, but it is undeniable that there is something about Galaxy that is smooth at every corner - and that's just the text. Another thing that can't be denied is how Galaxy is without a doubt the first woman of chocolate, with Cadbury's being the man, and just as male is the most dominant sex, Cadbury's works out as a dominant chocolate bar over Galaxy. Only kidding, although we do all know in all truth that Galaxy is not the big king of chocolate snacks - it's the big queen of chocolate snacks.
You've probably eaten Galaxy in the past and never really taken the time to see how the product is aimed at women, because lets face it -- all sexes will find themselves eating this brand, enjoying this brand, and taking no real notice of the packaging. So why am I going to bother to talk to you about the packaging? Well I guess it's all just in a days work when it comes to a product review. Galaxy's text looks as though someone has taken a pen and written out in chocolate the name of the brand, even with some littled melted chocolate drips at the end of the curly 'y'. Everything about the Galaxy packaging is like smooth velvet, almost like some clean female bed linen that you can't wait to get into, and that effect is only further given off by the blends of browns and creamy.. browns in the packaging colours.
I don't want to bore you any further with the details on that side, because I'm sure you could all pick out the brown Galaxy packaging from the shelf compares to the purple Cadbury packaging. I'm right, right? But what we do need to discuss, for those who are going to feel bad about tucking into this product, is the nutiritional information (per 100g).
ENERGY 2265kJ/542kcal PROTEIN 6.6g CADBOHYDRATE 59.1g of which sugars 56.5g FAT 31.6g of which saturates 18.7g FIBRE 1.5g SODIUM 0.09g
And without further ado, I introduce you to the winner of the chocolate beauty pagent 2007.. Miss Galaxy! For the purposes of this review I am actually sampling the Galaxy 'snacksize' bars, so that means I only get a very thin bar with three individual segments to snap off. For those wondering how that affects the nutritional information, each bar is 24.5gs in size so you have to divide the totals above by about 4, and you get a slightly more appealing/healthy product. Nah, I really don't think I can get away with saying anything about chocolate being healthy!
Undoing the product is just as easy as always, and don't get excited by the pealing down of the packaging just because you've found it about 100 times easier than getting a bra off. The chocolate is in blocks, but they do curl down at the sides with an effect that not all chocolate bars have. There's even a little 'G' scraped into the top of the product that might as well stand for 'girl', although my mum probably believe it stands for 'Gill' as that is her name and she does love this chocolate. So before I let it melt anymore, lets grab a taste.
Whilst on the packaging it shows quite a cracked and rocky interior to the chocolate, almost getting close in similarities to that of the Galaxy ripple product, it's actually a lot smother than that in truth when you crack one of the pieces in half. It can't be denied how smooth Galaxy chocolate is and there is a definite milky taste. I think for best results you should keep your Galaxy chocolate in the fridge, and this means it takes a little longer than usual to melt down in your mouth. You can smell the chocolate, and taste the chocolate after you have finished. I can't say the product left me hanging on for more, even though it was a snacksize, because I'm keen to try and stay healthy these days although I can see the appeal of eating more and more of this stuff. After doing that taste sampling it comes to know surprise to me that people do consider this do be one of the best chocolate products on the market.
All in all, Galaxy, which I first discovered when I was much younger for the use of caramel in its products, really shines when it comes to the chocolate they are creating. They do not have as wide a range of products as many other companies, but there product was perfect for that of something similar to that of Cadbury's Flake when they created the Ripple because the taste of even the little bits breaking off in your mouth are like little raindrops of heaven. Milky chocolate at its best.
Advantages: Quite amazing and gorgeous taste. Disadvantages: Calories and sticky
...a father who worked for Mars Confectionary. As a result every week he would bring home a bag of ‘rations’, we were allowed any thing from with the exception of the Galaxy Bar that my Mother loved. Since those days I have always had a fascination with them and I quite often purchase them myself as I have learnt how good they are.

Advantages: Creamy enjoyable Disadvantages: not enough in a small bar
Now yes, I have reviewed quite a few mundane electrical items. I have reviewed a service that annoyed me, a holiday/pilgrimage destination that I love and one or tow other topics. Time for something that I love, for something that I could easily spend the rest of my life with. CHOCOLATE!

Advantages: creamy, smooth, nothing too fancy Disadvantages: expensive
...could get squashed eg a Mars bar. It will probably also melt quite easily so you might not want to put it near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the Galaxy chocolate. I would be tempted to but a big bar to keep in the house whenever the next craving strikes. Alas I will not because I know that when I open it my sister and mother will most likely eat it before I get a chance to. Still, I could always hide ...

When I was little, and still today, I am looked at as a weird little boy by my family. Not because I want to be an axe murderer or anything, but because if I have a choice between Galaxy and Cadbury’s, Galaxy would win, no doubt about it!
Yes, I’m one of those people who isn't that keen on Cadburys, and I’m proud to admit it! Galaxy came after Cadbury, but Cadbury is old news by now. He’s had his millennium or so, at the ... ...and to give Mr Galaxy the praise he rightly deserves!
Galaxy has never really been one of the most popular chocolates around. Even though I’m a big fan, I know if I gave someone the choice to pick between Galaxy and Cadbury, they’d be scoffing a Cadbury bar before I knew it!
I think the biggest problem is that Galaxy has very little range. They have Galaxy Caramel and they have Galaxy Ripple and a few other stuff. What does Cadbury ...

Advantages: Quality chocolate at a low price Disadvantages: Addictive
There are numerous types of milk chocolate available these days, but in my mind, from the big 3’s offerings (Dairy Milk, Double Cream and Galaxy) the latter is by far the best.
Galaxy bars come in Bronze and Gold wrapping, with an inner foil layer for added freshness. Un-crinkle this (because un-wrapping this involves more un-crinkling than anything else) and you’re left with a bar about the size of a little ruler, already semi-divided ... ...I remember when they used to say “Galaxy”…. For reasons best known to themselves, Masterfoods have chosen some weird languages for their wrapper. There’s English, of course, but no other “normal” chocolate bar languages – French, German, Spanish etc. Instead they go for what I think are Greek and Arabic – perhaps and indication that these are the only places they sell this, or at least only under the ...

Advantages: A smooth creamy taste, plenty of nute Disadvantages: You can't eat it if you're allergic to nuts
I've just read Deano's Monster Chocolate challenge and have to tell you about my favourtie chocolatebar.
GALAXY HAZLENUT! A scrummy chocolatebar - but more about the taste later.
It comes in a foil wrapper which is the trademark Galaxy brown colour with gold writing on the front. The wrapper is quite 'posh' looking with pictures of whole hazlenuts on the front. Theres gold writing on the back of the pack which is in another language, but presumably gives contact information, a description and nutritional details.
The bar I tend to buy is 47g and the price can range anywhere from 35p to 40p depending on where you shop. They can be found on the chocolatebar shelf (where else?) next to Galaxy and Galaxy Fruit & Nut. You can also buy 100g bars for £1.79 in the corner shop by me and I've also seen these in Safeways ...
Advantages: Widely available and fairly cheap to buy Disadvantages: The wrapper on the chocolate
I bought a 150g bar of Galaxy Hazelnut from Somerfield for 50p.
The wrapper has a picture of chocolate and hazelnuts and the usual Galaxy logo. The wrapping is annoying. It's a plastic brown wrapper that you have to tear open at the strip at the top. This makes it difficult to snap the bar of chocolate. I prefer my chocolatebars to have a silver or gold foil and then a sleeve or extra wrapper so that I can break the chocolate quite easily and take some of the paper to cover the bar.
I was sharing this bar of chocolate so I had to break it down the middle and then remove my half of the bar, but of course, I had no paper to cover it with as the plastic cover doesn't tear easily or properly at all. It made a rather chocolatey mess until I found a plate to put the bar onto. Old style foil wrapping is so much better.

Advantages: The taste of the chocolate with hazelnuts Disadvantages: Those who cannot eat it because of nut allergies
Last week I enjoyed a galaxybar of chocolate, but I felt that there was something missing.- The Nuts.
Nearly every Saturday I settle down with my bar of chocolate and a cup of tea to listen to the radio because my local football team is usually playing.
The chocolate that I enjoy is Galaxy Hazelnut.
The bar is presented in a brown foil type packet with the name and a picture of hazelnuts on the outside. It has a list of ingredients, which are also in another language Im not sure what.
It has the best before date typed on the outside and a serial number of some sort.
The bar that I buy is 47 grams and depending on where I buy it ranges from 35p to 38p each.
Galaxy Hazelnut also comes in larger sizes, but I dare not buy the bigger size because I know that I would eat it all.
The chocolate is dark brown in colour and has ...
